"Do you really think there is a secret room?" Ron asked.

"I don't know," Hermione said, "but Dumbledore can't cure Mrs. Norris, which makes me think there is something secret in the school."

"I mean - there are very few people who can surpass Principal Dumbledore in magical attainments, right?" She looked at Tom and asked, "This makes me think that the person who attacked the cat might not be human - —”

"What do you think it is?" said Tom. "Medusa?"

"Ah!" Harry cried out in horror.

"Didn't you expect that?" Tom glanced at Harry in surprise, "In the wizarding world, petrification. To be honest, my first reaction was Medusa."

"Medusa...is that the Gorgon?" Harry asked hesitantly.

"Strictly speaking, the legend of Medusa has several origins-" Hermione began to talk in a long way, and she stopped only when the hesitation on Harry's face turned into sleep.

"Then I guess I should tell you," Harry took advantage of Hermione's pause and quickly lowered his voice and said, "I can understand snakes!"

Ron let out an earth-shattering cough.

"Shut up!" he said harshly in a breathy voice.

Harry looked at him confused.

After finally holding back until the bell rang, Ron dragged Harry and ran out quickly. Colin, who was outside specifically to say hello, was thrown away before he could come over.

Hermione and Tom hurriedly followed behind, shaking off the classmates behind them before turning into an empty classroom and carefully closing and locking the door.

"You're a Parseltongue!" Ron pushed Harry to sit on a chair and finally shouted out what he had been holding back.

"I'm sorry, what am I?" Harry looked at his friends in confusion.

"Parseltongue," said Ron, "you can talk to snakes!"

"I know," Harry said submissively, "before I knew I was a wizard, I heard a boa constrictor in the zoo say it had never been to Brazil—"

He stopped talking about the past and asked puzzledly: "Why are you so serious? I bet this is not a rare thing."

"I'm afraid just the opposite, Harry," said Tom.

"Being able to communicate with snakes - this is Salazar Slytherin's famous ability." Hermione lowered her voice and said, "Have you never thought about why the symbol of Slytherin House is a snake?"

"Don't tell it," Ron warned. "They were already suspicious of you. If they knew you were a Parseltongue, they would definitely think you were a descendant of Slytherin."

"But I'm not," Harry said, his face full of confusion and panic.

"You'll find that hard to prove," Hermione said heavily.

"If there really is a secret room, it is known that the things in the secret room can petrify cats, and can also make sounds that others cannot hear but Harry can hear - and Harry is a Parselmouth." Tom summarized, " Awesome, I’m starting to feel more and more like there’s a Medusa in the secret room.”

"Medusa's petrification can be lifted with the Mandrake antidote. That is a great discovery in the history of magic." Hermione said sarcastically.

"Bold guess, be careful to verify." Tom said nonchalantly, "Maybe there is something else locked in the secret room. This is just a guess."

"Since it is Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets," Hermione bit her lip and suggested, "How about we go directly to the Head of Slytherin?"

"You're crazy," Ron said.

"He won't necessarily say it," Tom said. "Probably he's going to say something about not minding other people's business and putting away any excess curiosity."

Harry agreed: "Yes, Professor Snape is a nice person, but he is too verbose."

"...Sometimes I feel like I'm not the same Snape you know," Ron said.

"Snape - Professor," Hermione corrected.

Just do what they said. There was no class after History of Magic and there was still time before dinner. They decided to visit Professor Snape now.

Snapa opened the door to his office and narrowed his eyes in displeasure when he saw four Gryffindors.

"What are you doing?" he said with as much gruff impatience as politeness would allow.

"Can we go in and talk, Professor?" Harry asked, looking up at him.

"I think Mr. Savior, who is spoiled by fame, should occasionally get used to the feeling of being rejected -" Snape twitched his lips, "So no." Seven

"Say something quickly." He said coldly.

"There's a little secret about Harry," said Tom, "that we all agree is not appropriate for more people to know."

Snape's dark eyes lingered on Tom for a moment. Then he stepped aside.

"Okay," he said with a smile, "I'm all ears."

They walked into Snape's office and saw that there was a door ajar on the inside of the office. A strange green mist kept squeezing out from the crack of the door, bringing with it an unpleasant smell that could not be specified.

"Ten minutes is enough time for you to pour out your nonsense," Snape said. "I don't want you to ruin a pot of potions."

"We want to know about the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets, Professor," Hermione said bravely.

"Is Gryffindor paying so much attention to the affairs of other houses now?" Snape said slyly, "Excuse me, I don't see how this matter has anything to do with you - except that you were unlucky enough to show up at a place you shouldn't have that day. Wherever it appears.”

"Or do you know anything about the Slytherin heir?" Tom asked, "because now the students are beginning to suspect Harry -"

Snape was starting to lose patience.

"I personally think that Mr. Harry Potter is already famous enough," he said coldly, "There is no need to bring the names of other house heirs to his head. Of course, there are always some empty-headed ones. A guy who makes even zombies feel disappointed will choose to believe some nonsense——"

"The symbol of Slytherin House is the snake," Tom interrupted calmly, "Did you know that Harry is a Parseltongue?"

Snape froze.

"What did you say?!"

Tom always admired Professor Snape's pronunciation skills. For example, at this time, how could he produce a roaring effect with such a low and soft voice?

Harry raised his hand timidly and said, "I can talk to snakes—"

"This is impossible!" Snape growled irritably, dark emotions burning in his eyes.

"My mother is Muggle," Harry said, "but I don't know much about my father's side of the family. Is it possible -"

"Ha!" Snape seemed to want to yell, but also seemed to want to twist a sarcastic smile. He slammed the table, and after a few breaths, he turned his eyes again. They could no longer see any emotion on that flat face.

"Give me your hand," Snape ordered with empty eyes.

Harry hesitantly stretched out his hand, sizing up Snape from what he thought was a hidden sight.

Snape pulled out his wand expressionlessly and muttered something silently to Harry's hand, and then Harry let out a short cry of pain - a deep bloody gash suddenly appeared on his arm.

Snape quickly caught the bleeding blood with a glass bottle, then pointed his wand at Harry's arm and chanted a few more spells. The wound healed quickly, leaving only a light white mark. .

Then he took out a small bottle from the drawer and threw it to Harry, saying briefly: "Bai Xian, apply it now."

He pointed to the door and continued: "Then get out. Shut your mouths and don't go around adding to Mr. Potter's reputation—"

"What about the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets-" Tom asked tentatively, wanting to know more information.

"Go away," Snape said softly and forcefully.

So they left the potions office quietly and quickly.

"He has such a bad temper." Ron dared to complain in a low voice only after walking far away.

"Why does he want Harry's blood?" Hermione asked.

"Maybe it's for identification?" Tom said, "After all, all the known Parseltongues have Slytherin blood in their blood."

Harry said nothing, he was very panicked now. What if...he is really a descendant of Slytherin? When the Sorting Hat suggested that he go to Slytherin House, was it possible that he was also influenced by his bloodline? If he wasn't a descendant of Slytherin... what the hell was going on with his Parseltongue?

Unrelated tidbits: The pot of half-finished potions in Snape's office was still useless. The Potions Master had no intention of brewing it anymore.
