[HP] Being a problem student at Hogwarts

Chapter 26 Snape, a noble teacher

Everyone who understood the meaning of this detection spell was stunned.

"The curse stops." Snape said slowly. His face was pale and his lips were trembling, as if he had been hit by dozens of Cruciatus Curses in one breath.

The green light disappeared, but the whole place was silent. Even the other students who didn't understand what happened were silent under the pressure of Snape who was about to lose control.

"Attack Professor," Snape continued slowly and softly, his eyes not looking at anyone but at the sky behind Harry, "Fifty points from Gryffindor."

Even Professor McGonagall didn't refute.

Snape said no more. He staggered to the ground while controlling the broom, straightened his back, and walked straight towards the castle. He walked quickly but steadily, his black robe billowing behind his back.

With suppressed anger on their faces, the Slytherins lined up under the prefect's rude orders and exited neatly along with the disappearing figure of their dean. Everyone cast a glance at Harry Potter as they passed by. glare.

Harry was suspended in the air at a loss, his mind a mess.

The game couldn't go on anymore. The Gryffindor team's Chaser attacked the professor in public. The referee stopped the game and Slytherin left the field collectively. Dumbledore had to stand up and declare that the game was invalid and the game would be played another day.

"Are you sure you didn't cast the wrong spell?"

Ron asked eagerly as soon as Harry landed.

"Absolutely not," Harry said confusedly, "Tom, is there something wrong with this spell? How is this possible..."

Tom was also confused: "Maybe... he just hates you, but has no real malice towards you?"

"He...is he really afraid that I will break my neck?" Harry trembled at the supposed concern of Snape.

"Maybe... he wasn't casting a curse on Harry that time." Hermione said with a white face.

"Hermione!" they shouted together.

"I mean, I think about it, you need to keep an eye on Harry to break the curse." Hermione felt more and more guilty as she thought about it. "If there is no problem with the detection spell, we may have misunderstood Snape."

"Professor Snape." She added the title again.

"Then Professor Snape's bite might have been an accident. He cast the spell that day to save Harry. He came to be the referee today because he didn't find the real person behind the scenes. He was worried that something might happen to Harry again, so he stayed close to protect Harry. "Tom stroked it again.

"Snape's concern." Ron felt like he was getting goosebumps just by putting these words together. "It doesn't sound right. I still think there's something wrong with the spell, guys."

"What's wrong with the spells taught by Dumbledore?" Tom asked. "Maybe Professor Snape just hates Harry, but there is no conflict between his personal incompatibility and his noble moral character and caring for his students."

"It's possible," Hermione agreed. "Probably Professor Snape is a noble teacher. Alas, that makes our suspicion even more despicable!" She said sadly, "I want to go and apologize to the professor."

"It's no different than trying to jump into a volcano," said Ron. "Can't you see how angry Snape is?"

"It's a bit strange, he acted too angry." Tom said, "It's revealed that he is actually a good teacher who cares about his students. Is it such an embarrassing thing?"

"What's weird?" Hermione retorted, "He cares about Harry, but he is always misunderstood because of the way he expresses himself. This time he was even attacked in public. He feels that it is human nature to be sad and angry." 7

Tom always felt that things were not that simple.

"Okay, okay, I don't want to hear about Snape's psychological journey." Ron said with a grimace, "I just want to know, if we find the wrong person, who is the real mastermind behind it?"

Ron got the point right. They couldn't stand at the gate of the castle and cast a detection spell on everyone who passed by - wait a minute!

Tom suddenly had an idea, but the principal had to make the decision. Regarding their misunderstanding of Professor Snape and Mr. Filch, and the fact that Harry used a detection spell to attack Professor Snape in public today, he also wanted to listen to the principal's advice on how to deal with it better.

Tom said goodbye to his friends for the time being and slipped to the door of the principal's office alone.

"Uh... a pile of cockroaches?" He remembered that the principal told him this was the secret password during the last night talk, and he hoped that the principal had not changed the password.

The stone monster yawned lazily, its rough stone tongue drooping at the corner of its mouth. It moved its body and made a path for Tom very perfunctorily.

"Okay," Tom said helplessly, "thank you."

He hurried up the spiral staircase, and when he stood in front of the door, he heard a sound inside.

It was Professor Snape.

"I can't-" Snape's voice was cold, but he sounded much calmer than he had been on the court before, "I can't teach that boy anymore. Arrogant, rude, addicted to violation of discipline, He loves to be in the limelight—a carbon copy of his father.”

"Severus, what you saw is what you expected to see. He is more than just a Potter, think about his eyes." Dumbledore's voice was calmer and more powerful, "Think about you Guarantee, you swore..."

"Yes, yes." There was a dead silence in Snape's voice, "I will protect him, do my best, at all costs...but I don't want to see him again."

"Have mercy, Dumbledore. After something like this, you want me to continue pretending as if nothing happened? I can be a shadow, a disappearing protector—"

"You know this is impossible," Dumbledore said dryly.

Snape was silent for a moment.

"Say what you will, Dumbledore," he said, "I will not allow that boy in Potions Classroom again."

"Severus—"

"Or I'll never go into the Potions classroom again."

"Severus my boy," Dumbledore said with a hint of impatience in his tone that Tom had never heard before, "Be mature, okay? What you need now is to go back and get some rest."

"My fault," Snape said lifelessly, "I shouldn't have asked you for mercy. After all, I don't have anything in return, do I?"

"Severus, this was not my intention-"

But Snape had refused to continue chatting with him. He opened the door and saw the awkward Tom at the door, with no surprise on his face.

"Gryffindor." Snape curled his lips sarcastically and walked away, leaving only one sentence:

"Ten points from Gryffindor."
