From Gods to Marvel

Chapter 20 The Secret of the God King

The gods have been sleeping for 3000 years. Otherwise, the Yu Tu family would never dare to harm mortals wantonly.

The Witch of Volva is a prophet who existed in ancient times. Even the God-King Odin once sought advice from her.

It is no accident that she disguised herself as a mortal and lived in seclusion in Edda. Her duty was to awaken the gods and fulfill the prophecy.

"Tomorrow..."

Witch Volva lay on the ground, holding Magna's hand.

"what?"

Magna was filled with fear and anger. He wanted to find the murderer, but the witch obviously had more important things to tell him.

"You need to go to the bridge and take me...which is the first paragraph of Witch Volva's prophecy to find the second awakened one."

The witch looked at Magna with a smile. She pulled off the gem necklace around her neck and handed it to him.

"This necklace is related to the fate of the gods. I want you to give it to Wotan, you know, the one-eyed dragon."

"Can he save you? I mean, he looks like O..."

Magna asked eagerly, but before he could finish speaking, the witch's face gradually carbonized, and eventually her entire body turned into fly ash.

"it's my fault……"

Magna put the necklace into his pocket, picked up the black iron arrow on the ground, lowered his head and walked towards the door.

"Hey, why are you here? Where's Vink? Where did she go?"

Iris was walking slowly towards the department store with his backpack on his back. He opened the door and saw Magna coming in from the backyard.

"She's dead."

Magna looked at him blankly, his eyes dim.

"Sorry, what did you say?"

Iris was inexplicably surprised. He knew that the old woman was closely related to the gods, but he did not believe that Wenke would die suddenly.

"It's you, right?"

Magna seemed to have thought of something. He held the arrow in his hand and strode towards Iris.

"No kidding, man."

Iris grinned, but his attention never moved away from the arrow.

"The awakened one Wenke asked me to find is you, right?"

Magna threw the arrow on the cashier, put his hands on Iris' shoulders, and looked extremely excited.

"With all due respect, you look a little... not normal."

Iris was relieved. He probably guessed what happened. It seemed that the Yu Tu family was making moves again.

He couldn't reveal his secret in front of Magna, in case Magna noticed any clues. For this reason, he had to pretend to know nothing.

"It's nothing, I'm just a little tired."

Magna let go of his hands in frustration. Iris was his rare friend. He thought he would have the opportunity to fight alongside his friend.

"what is this?"

Iris asked pretending to be curious as he looked at the arrows on the cash register.

"Don't touch it!"

Magna shouted excitedly.

"Don't be nervous, it'll be fine if I don't touch it."

Iris quickly raised his hands, looking a little panicked.

Magna picked up the iron arrow, patted Iris on the shoulder apologetically, and then hurried out the door.

"Magna."

Iris shouted towards the door.

Magna stopped and turned around.

"It's nothing."

Iris smiled reluctantly.

……

The night sky was dark and lightless, as if the stars had fallen.

Iris came to the mental hospital again.

This time, he donned an invisibility cloak.

"I know you're here."

The one-eyed old man Wotan was sitting in a wheelchair. He looked at the empty balcony with a smile.

"Your Majesty the God King, you know that with our current strength alone, we cannot defeat the Tu family."

Iris took off his cloak and revealed his true form. His eyes were fixed on Wotan's chest, where there was a necklace.

"Yes, this is the witch's relic. In fact, it was this treasure that woke me up."

Wotan smiled and pinched the pendant of the necklace - four silver claws locked a pearl-colored gemstone.

“I already know your purpose, but even I can’t help you become stronger.

You are not a giant, and you cannot awaken to become a god, but you have power that is not inferior to Thor's.

I think you know where your strength comes from. "

Odin looked at Iris' right hand calmly.

This shocked Iris.

“You are a courageous person, that’s why you have everything you have today.

I think this quality is more precious than any treasure. "

He put the necklace between two pieces of clothing. In fact, he was as afraid of Iris as the giant.

"You know my father, right?"

Iris was silent for a moment, then spoke out these words with difficulty.

He had never heard his mother talk about that man. In fact, no one in the entire Edda knew who his father was.

The night he and Odin first met, he should actually have died. After all, he almost took over the persona of the God of Thunder, and Thor was the son of Odin.

He had been thinking about why Odin sent down the oracle of death. If the god king really wanted to kill him, there would be no need to go to such trouble.

Iris guessed that maybe something had been protecting him.

"Young man, you seem to have misunderstood something.

I, Odin, Master of Wednesday, God of War and Storms, Master of Asgard, King of the Gods...

I wouldn't go out and kill a mortal myself...that's all. "

Odin looked at Iris with a smile, as if he was watching a joke.

"Forgive me for my offense, Your Majesty the God King."

Iris stood up suddenly, a thunder arc appeared in the palm of his hand, and the edge of thunder appeared. This weapon of the God King was about to face another God King.

"I haven't moved my muscles in a long time."

The smile on Odin's face disappeared, and he still sat where he was, motionless.

A curtain of light appeared in front of him, a curtain of light composed of golden runes.

Iris stabbed him with a spear, as powerful as an arrow.

He disappeared into the curtain of light.

"It's nice to be young."

Odin picked up a bottle of bourbon from the ground, opened the cork and took a sip.

……

"Good evening, Magna."

After scanning this unfamiliar bedroom, Iris looked at the slightly short bed with a smile.

"If I'm not mistaken, you seem to have suddenly appeared in my room, right?"

Magna sat on the bed calmly. He didn't even close his laptop immediately.

"This is a misunderstanding, listen to me..."

Iris tried to explain that he didn't want to be exposed on the board so early.

boom.

"Magna, mom made tacos, do you want one?"

Lauritz opened the door with a plate in hand.

"Look who this is? Good evening, Iris."

Lauritz licked his lips.

"You never told me that you too...

I mean, my gaydar never fails, but I didn't expect you to like Magna? "

His eyes jumped back and forth between Magna and Iris.

"I have to explain, I like women."

Iris covered her forehead helplessly.
