A friendly day at Hogwarts
Chapter 119 Hermione and Qiu’s first encounter
In the next few days, the busy season in Diagon Alley is still not over.
One after another, professors began to appear with young wizards of Muggle origin.
This year there seemed to be more Muggle-born wizards than in previous years. In addition to Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick and Hagrid, who often brought new students to Diagon Alley, even Professor Snape came once.
And among these little wizards who were brought here by professors to buy school supplies, there was a core character.
On the afternoon of the second day after seeing off the Boy Who Lived and Master Malfoy, Professor McGonagall appeared outside the wand shop.
Behind the Transfiguration Professor, who always looked serious, was a family of three.
All three were wearing standard Muggle clothing.
The little girl has thick, long brown hair, but she doesn't seem to care much about taking care of it and it looks messy.
The cute Loli has delicate facial features and a pair of big brown eyes that look very smart.
The only flaw is the pair of large front teeth in the mouth.
Although it doesn't conform to ordinary people's aesthetics, it makes her look like a little rabbit, which is a bit cute at this age.
Like her hairstyle, she didn't care too much about her clothes. She just casually wore a pair of light blue jeans and a plain blouse.
In comparison, my parents' outfits looked much more decent.
Her mother wore a long dress and carried a women's bag on her shoulder. The lock of the bag was inlaid with a glittering capital letter "H".
Her father wore a well-fitting suit, which didn't look out of place at all. He must have been used to dressing like this for a long time.
The suit was worth a lot of money at first glance. It was obviously a handmade custom-made suit, not a factory assembly line product.
Such behavior and appearance...
Sure enough, although the profession of dentistry sounds inconspicuous, the income is actually quite high.
This girl's features are obvious and can be recognized at a glance.
Hermione Granger.
Although not as good as Emma Watson in the movie, she is still a cute little beauty.
As they walked, the little girl looked very excited and kept asking questions to Professor McGonagall.
Even though Professor McGonagall was very experienced, she was a little overwhelmed. She took a few steps and pushed open the glass door of the wand shop.
"Welcome to Ollivander's Wand Shop." Glenn habitually said the opening words.
Hermione glanced at him curiously, as if she had another question to ask.
At this moment, old Ollivander spoke with a smile.
"We meet again, Professor McGonagall. There seem to be a lot of young Muggle-born wizards this year."
Professor McGonagall glanced at Hermione subtly, seeming to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Yes, Mr. Ollivander." She pinched her eyebrows and said a little tiredly, "Miss Granger is the third student I have informed in the past few days."
Old Ollivander turned to Hermione: "This beautiful lady, what is your name?"
"Oh! My name is Hermione, sir." The girl replied quickly.
"So Miss Hermione Granger, a clever Muggle-born witch, which hand do you prefer to use your wand with?"
Grandfather continued to ask, and Glenn secretly thought it was funny. It seemed that he had collected a new character's information in his facial recognition database.
"Right hand, sir."
Although Hermione has a hot temper, she is still very polite because of her good upbringing.
Mr. and Mrs. Granger didn't interrupt, they just looked on in a well-educated manner and quietly.
With a look from Old Ollivander, Glen Jobber Ollivander came online for an unknown number of times.
Just as he was walking towards Hermione with the magic tape measure, the wind chime on the door behind him rang again, making a pleasant "ding-dong" sound.
Glenn looked back, slightly startled.
Against the sun, a slim girl figure appeared at the door.
It's autumn.
The girl didn't seem to expect that the store was so crowded, and was stunned for a moment before speaking.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Ollivander." She then saw Professor McGonagall clearly and said obediently, "Oh! And Professor McGonagall, I didn't expect to meet you here."
Professor McGonagall nodded at her.
Her grandfather smiled kindly and said to her, "It's Miss Zhang. She's here to see Glenn, right?"
"Yes, Mr. Ollivander." She smiled sweetly and nodded, "You go ahead, I'll just wait here for a while."
In two steps, she reached the bench that Hagrid had almost broken last time and sat on it gently.
As if aware of the gaze behind him, Glenn flicked the magic measuring tape and let it automatically measure Hermione's body data, not daring to have the slightest physical contact with her.
Following the string of numbers he reported, Old Ollivander glanced back and forth on the shelf several times and pulled out two or three alternative cartons.
"Hmm... let's try this one, twelve inches, pear wood, with a phoenix feather core."
Grandfather opened the carton, held the tip of the stick, and handed it to Hermione upside down.
"The wand chooses the wizard, Miss Granger. Pearwood is the most resilient wood. It is generous and wise. It is very suitable for a smart little witch like you."
Hermione blushed at the praise, quickly took the wand, and waved it as Ollivander asked.
There were no accidents such as the vase exploding, but no strange phenomena occurred.
"It seems that it is not the most suitable for you, so try this one." Old Ollivander opened another box, "Twelve and a half inches, also made of pear wood, and the core is unicorn tail hair."
Hermione took it, held it in her hand, and waved it gently.
A red light flashed, and a "crackling" sound was heard from the shelves.
The hundreds of cardboard boxes that were finally neatly stacked were swept up into the air like a typhoon passing by, and then scattered on the ground.
The corners of Glenn's mouth twitched slightly, and he was about to cry without tears.
Hermione's face turned even redder and she weakly handed the wand back, seeming to doubt whether she really had magical talent.
Seeing the change in her expression, Qiu quickly spoke out to comfort her.
"It's okay, this is a normal situation. I was more exaggerated than you at the time!"
As she spoke, she glanced at Glenn secretly, blushing slightly herself.
Hearing Qiu's comfort, Hermione felt much relieved, and then took the next wand handed over by the old Ollivander.
"Fourteen inches, vine wood, dragon's nerves. Represents noble pursuits and is powerful, making it easier to learn new spells."
Grandfather ignored the cardboard boxes and wands scattered on the floor and started introducing the next one.
Glenn, who was familiar with the plot, knew that this was the best choice for Hermione, so he stopped staring and came to the shelf, waving his wand to restore the shelf to its original state.
This is Diagon Alley anyway, and the Ministry of Magic has no way of confirming that this spell was written by him.
Obviously, this wand suited Hermione very well. The moment it touched her fingertips, it bloomed with enchanting light and exuded a burst of joy.
"Excellent, Miss Granger! I bet you will never find a wand that suits you better."
