Hogwarts snake in the mist

Chapter 6 Extraordinary Talent

After eating a not-so-full dinner, Eric followed the large team, following a tall witch step by step deeper into the basement. Before entering the secret door, she paused.

"Congratulations. My name is Gemma Farley, Prefect. It is my pleasure to welcome you to Slytherin House. The symbol of our house is a giant snake, the most intelligent creature."

"Our house colors are emerald and silver, and the entrance to our common room is in a hidden part of the basement." Original text from "Welcome Letter from the Prefect of Slytherin"

The lengthy speech made the team drowsy. Seeing that most of the people were about to fall asleep, Gemma had to end her welcome speech hastily.

Entering the common room, Eric immediately felt a gust of cold wind blowing against his face, and most of the sleepiness he had just felt disappeared. “This is really a common room”

The candles flickered with a dim green light, and they were basically surrounded by dark green and black tables and chairs, a large sofa made of green coral and an eternal fireplace. Of course, there were also the dark shadows of unknown creatures that appeared outside the window from time to time.

“Isn’t this really a haunted house or an escape room?”

Although he woke up a lot due to the wind just now, after returning to his dormitory, the hypnotic sound from the heater and the waterfall soon made Eric collapse on the bed and fall asleep.

Early the next morning, before breakfast, Eric quietly ran to the training room.He wants to figure out his own strength first.

If we use the strength of Harry in the finale as a unit, Dumbledore would be at the strength of four to five Harrys, and Voldemort should be about the same, or higher or lower. I won’t think about it for now, anyway. I can't beat both of them.

Then just call it first-order, second-order, third-order, fourth-order, and so on.

At present, Eric's strength is probably one-sixth of Harry's.This is already considered good among first-year students.

Although Eric cannot release his shadow spells yet, he can only give some shadow blessings based on the original spells.

If he wants, the power of shadow can also mark someone and slowly erode the shadow, but it will only take effect very slowly. And the effect is generally worse and worse physical fitness, mental weakness and the like.

With the shadow blessing and the original magic talent, the power of the spell should not be small, right? He hasn't learned the magic spell yet, so he doesn't know what it will be like after using the magic spell.

"At this o'clock, breakfast should have already started." Eric hurried to the lobby, he didn't want to miss breakfast.

Later in the magic class, Eric's talent brought him another big surprise. In the Charms class, the short wizard Flitwick shouted and taught them to learn the relatively simple levitation spell.

"You have to think hard, make the feathers in front of you float, and then shout out the spell."

The little wizards were all trying to make the feathers float, but obviously they basically failed. "Professor, why are my feathers on fire?" "Professor, my wand has flown to nowhere."

Various rollover scenes emerged one after another. Eric originally thought that this spell was relatively simple and there would not be so many accidents. However, he overestimated their learning ability.

"Wingardim Leviosa."

Eric closed his eyes and quietly said the spell. The familiar cold breath immediately gathered on the arm holding the wand. When he opened his eyes, he saw that the feathers were floating, but they were wrapped in a black light ball.

What is going on? Did I succeed? Eric tried to take back the cold aura, but he succeeded.

The feather magically escaped from the black light group bit by bit, and the floating spell was released.

"Oh, everyone, look at Ryan's success. I have to say, your talent is really amazing, kid." Flitwick looked at Eric in surprise.

What was equally surprising was Eric himself, who actually succeeded in just one try.

As the first person to do it and succeed once, Eric was very relaxed in the second half of the magic class.

Basically, I just wandered around, watching the top students in Ravenclaw compete with each other secretly, and the little snakes in Slytherin socializing with each other.

He can guarantee that more than half of the Slytherins in this class are making friends and improving relationships. He probably wasn't interested in spells, but surprisingly, Draco was still thinking about them.

Logically speaking, Draco was the one who took the lead in making friends. Although Eric was curious, he didn't think much about it. Anyway, he had completed the goal of releasing the curse, and he could chat with the people around him confidently.

After one class, Eric also met several Slytherins, both men and women. But the first person who came to talk to him was a young man named Michael Corner, who was from Ravenclaw.

The history of magic that followed was a disaster, and Professor Binns' voice was comparable to the sound of the waterfall used to sleep in the Slytherin dormitory.

After another class in a daze, Eric heard the word "get out of class is over". When he got up, he didn't forget to bring his empty notebook.

With a lot of free time in the afternoon, Eric decided to visit his friends in the Lion Yard first, the kind of friends who could be reused.

Then go to the library and learn some magic spells. Increasing your strength does not necessarily have to be related to the shadow core. Things like black magic, spells and potions are also important.

"Hey, Harry, Ron, how are you doing today?" Eric found them in the study room near the hall.

"Wow, Eric, Professor McGonagall asked us to turn a match into a needle in Transfiguration class. It was so difficult, you can't even imagine it," Ron began to complain, "But Hermione succeeded, I guess she I have to show off for a long time.”

"We didn't have a Transfiguration class here, but we did have a Charms class and a class that, well, you will definitely hate too. That guy's voice sounded like a lullaby."

"History of Magic" the three of them said almost in unison.

"Oh my gosh, Professor Binns even forgot to bring his books to our class."

"I didn't understand anything in class, and my notes seemed to be a mess."

"Harry, you still took notes after all. I don't know how Professor Binns attended the class. As soon as he opened his eyes and closed his eyes, the class was over. The notes are still blank."

The three guys had no scruples in complaining about the teacher and the boring classes in the study room, unknowingly getting closer to each other.

"Well, it's almost time. I promised the others to study in the library later, so let's talk about this first." Eric looked at the clock in the study room and felt that it was time to run away.

"Okay, Eric, why were you sorted into Slytherin? It is said that all those in Slytherin who graduate are dark wizards. Why don't you quickly transfer to Gryffindor?"

"And it's scary to think about facing Draco every day."

Ron has always been worried about Eric's sorting, and Harry also seemed to agree.

"Slytherin is not as bad as you said. As for Draco, he is okay, but he is too arrogant. After all, everyone has shortcomings, right?"

Eric turned and left the study room.
