"The Admiral of Hogwarts"

"I thought you would come later because of the heavy snow at this time." Hugo and Hermione's grandfather Carl said to Mrs. Granger.

"Come in quickly. Your mother and I have been busy all morning for this welcome dinner. It will be ready in about an hour. I have also prepared your favorite gingerbread cookies——"

After a brief cleaning, the Grangers immediately went to the kitchen to help, while Hugo and Hermione were resting on the sofa in front of the fireplace in the living room. On the coffee table in front of them was the coffee table given to them by their grandfather Carl. Pastry case.

"Cream cookies, gingerbread men, cream-filled hard cakes... these are all my favorites - Hugo, would you like some?" Hermione suddenly became excited after opening the pastry box.

After all, for a teenage girl, the temptation of various sweets is actually very great. Unfortunately, the Grangers are both professional dentists, so they basically don't give the two siblings any sweets.

Even after the two of them went to Hogwarts, Mr. and Mrs. Granger wrote a letter to Hugo and his brother respectively, reminding them to eat as few sweets as possible in school.

"Thank you." Warrens said after taking a bite of the gingerbread from his sister's hand. But just as they finished two or three snacks, Mr. Granger came out of the kitchen.

"It seems that father has been kicked out of the kitchen again." Hermione turned her head and looked at Hugo and said with a smile on her face.

On weekdays, Mr. Granger really likes to help in the kitchen when the family is cooking, but every time he is always kicked out of the kitchen because he becomes more and more busy.

"Okay, you two can laugh if you want." Mr. Granger looked at the two siblings who had been suppressing laughter and shook his head helplessly.

After the two little ones finished laughing, he said to the children. "Okay, I think you're done laughing. Let's decorate this house together."

Soon, Hugo, father and son, became busy. When Hugo's mother and grandparents came out of the kitchen after cooking dinner, they had already hung up all the decorations that had not been hung up.

Christmas decorations are actually the same ones, some small decorations made of plastic or glass, some long strings of small colored lights, and some colored paper with a metallic shine.

And when everyone entered the living room, all the lights in the room were turned on. After all, it's winter here and it's snowing at the same time. So even at noon the room was still a little dark.

These colored lights, combined with the original lights in the room, illuminate the entire hall. Although you could see heavy snow falling outside the room through the window, the room seemed full of life. Everyone was sitting around the dining table, eating and exchanging their experiences.

This lunch can be said to be very sumptuous. The two old people prepared a delicious meal from all angles in order to welcome the younger generations.

Whether it's golden roasted chicken, roasted fragrant venison or baked shortbread covered with honey, these are Hugo's favorite things to eat.

So more than an hour later, everyone was sitting in the tea room next to the restaurant with a satisfied look on their faces, drinking hot cocoa while continuing the conversation at the table.

"I really didn't expect that the legendary magic, wizards and even dragons actually exist in this world." Hugo's grandfather Carl sighed with emotion after taking a sip of the hot cocoa in his hand.

Then he leaned forward slightly, then looked at Hugo and his brother and sister and said. "Listening to what you said, I think some of the legends about my hometown may be true."

At the dinner table just now, Mrs. Granger told Hugo's maternal grandparents the fact that Hugo and his sister Hermione were both wizards. After listening to Mrs. Granger's narration, Carl suddenly remembered some stories he heard in his hometown when he was a child.

The reason why Hugo's maternal grandparents didn't know they were wizards until now is also very simple. Because Hugo and their grandparents had moved to Norway after they received the Hogwarts letter.

For fear of others eavesdropping or stealing the information, the Granger family did not notify the two elderly people of this information via phone calls or letters.

"The legend of my hometown, grandpa, isn't your hometown Oslo?" Hugo asked with some confusion.

Before, he only vaguely knew that his grandfather's hometown was in Norway, but he didn't know where it was specifically. So it was natural to regard Oslo, where my grandfather is now, as his hometown.

"Of course not. I live in Oslo now because I am older and have lived in the UK for too long. So there is no way to stay in my hometown in winter."

After hearing what Hugo said, Karl shook his head gently and said. "My hometown is in a fjord in the north. It is a small city with a population of less than 2 people."

"A city on an ice sheet sounds pretty cool." Hermione whispered.

For a girl who grew up in the big city of London, this small city built in a fjord on the east coast of the North Atlantic is completely different from her hometown. So the whole person became excited all of a sudden.

"Cool (cool also means cool)? No, no, no, this word is a bit gentle to describe the temperature there. I think coldness is more standard to describe the temperature there." Grandfather Carl obviously understood what Hermione was saying wrongly. the meaning of the word spoken.

"My hometown is Narvik in Nordland. It is also the northernmost port city in the world that mainly focuses on mineral transportation." Then Karl briefly introduced his hometown to everyone present.

"Although this city is not big, as the main export port of Swedish iron ore, it can be regarded as the northern pearl close to the polar circle. But I think those of you who grew up in the UK may have never heard of this remote city. It’s a small town.”

"Grandpa, I've heard of this place." Hugo waved his hand, "I remember that a large-scale naval battle should have broken out there in 40 years."

"Yes, that's right. The Germans once landed here in order to occupy Norway and obtain Swedish iron ore. My father spent a long time in the surrounding mountains as a member of the resistance organization."

"And it was at that time that he saw something strange and obviously abnormal."

"According to the story he told me when I was a child, he once ran into a deep mountain where almost no one had been to avoid being searched by the Germans, and then he saw a big guy——"

"What's that big guy?" Mrs. Granger asked with wide eyes. Apparently, Carl had never told this story to his daughter before.

"My father doesn't know either." Karl shrugged helplessly. "At that time, he saw five or six huge black shadows like hills moving slowly in the valley below the mountain. Unfortunately, he immediately passed out."

"Half an hour had passed when he woke up, and then he found himself lying in a cave with a bonfire burning and several pieces of dry food placed next to him."

"But no matter how he recalled it afterwards, he couldn't remember what happened to him in that half hour."
