Chapter 65 Weird Bar (please recommend)

"What are you doing?" The old man with a ferocious face glared at the boy at the door and said viciously.

Matthew was almost startled. He stammered and replied:

"Sir, I heard you have butterbeer here."

The disfigured old man looked at Matthew for ten seconds.

"Come in," he said coldly, and opened the door to the cabin.

Matthew Wakefield finally gets a good look inside the Hog's Head pub.

It was a small, dark, and very dirty room.

Thick dirt accumulated on several bay windows, coupled with the frost on the glass, the outside light could hardly penetrate, as if the curtains were drawn; only with the help of some candle ends lit on the rough wooden table, Barely illuminated.

The ground was even dirtier. At first glance, I thought the ground was compacted mud, but when I stepped on it, I discovered that centuries of dirt had accumulated on the ground that was originally paved with stones.

There is no doubt that this bar is not a respectable place.

"What are you looking at?" The old man looked at Matthew suspiciously and asked coldly.

"I just heard from Professor Bathilda Bagshot that your bar was once the headquarters of the goblin rebellion in 1612," Matthew said slowly.

While speaking, he "accidentally" glanced into the old man's eyes.

But unfortunately, when he mentioned the name Bathilda Bagshot, the old man's expression did not change at all; in addition, his eyes were not blue.

"That was centuries ago," the old man said disdainfully, "What do you need, butterbeer or firewhiskey?"

"Butterbeer," said Matthew.

The old man turned around and left, and Matthew began to look around curiously.

There is no doubt that the people in this bar are all people from all walks of life.

There were not many guests, only three or five, and the environment was relatively quiet.

A witch wearing a thick black gauze scarf hanging down to her feet, and a wizard with a thick cloak that almost covered his head; all in all, they didn't look like serious people.

Matthew was thinking secretly while looking at the back of the disfigured old man.

In the original book, the waiter at the Pig's Head Bar is actually Albus Dumbledore's younger brother, Aberforth. He has also been in this bar, gathering information for his brother.

So, what would this disfigured old man be like Aberforth Dumbledore?

After all, his appearance and characteristics were completely different from the Aberforth in his memory.

While Matthew was thinking, the waiter came over with a glass of butterbeer.

Butterbeer is not actually a beer, but a drink made with cream, butter and brown sugar; that's why it is so popular among the students at Hogwarts.

"Sir." When the waiter placed the butterbeer heavily in front of Matthew, Matthew asked softly, "I don't know what to call you."

"Percival" the waiter said coldly.

This is not an uncommon surname. Percival is one of the most famous Knights of the Round Table in the "Legend of King Arthur". Together with Galahad and Bowes, he is known as the Three Knights of the Holy Grail. He is very famous in Wales and even the entire UK.

Matthew frowned slightly, and then he continued to ask: "I don't know how long you have been in charge of this bar."

But this time, Matthew didn't get a reply.

The ferocious-looking waiter suddenly looked at Matthew coldly and asked viciously:

"Are you interrogating me, boy?"

"" Matthew quickly defended: "I'm just a little interested in the history of your bar."

But the waiter quickly pulled out his wand and pointed it at Matthew:

"Tell me, who sent you here?"

The few strange-looking wizards and wizards around were still drinking their butterbeer or firewhiskey, as if they had not seen the conflict here.

"No, no, I'm just a first-year student at Hogwarts."

Just as Matthew stammered in his explanation

"Matthew"

The door of the Pig Head Bar was pushed open, and then a familiar voice came from the other side.

It was Horace Slughorn, the bald old man who was as fat as a walrus, standing outside the door with a big smile.

He glanced at the dirty floor with disgust, then walked in.

"Why are you here?" Professor Slughorn asked loudly.

The waiter who was so vicious just now had unknowingly put away his wand.

"I just heard that this bar was once the headquarters of the goblin rebellion in 1612." Matthew breathed a sigh of relief and quickly explained.

"Oh, okay" Slughorn took Matthew's hand and said humorously: "Records in history books are often slightly different from reality."

"Yes, sir" Matthew nodded.

"Let's go. This kind of place is not where we should stay." He shook his head at Matthew: "Thanks I just saw you outside the window."

Matthew was forcibly pulled up from the table by Slughorn.

"One butterbeer and three Sickles," the waiter said gruffly.

Matthew was just about to take money out of his pocket, but Slughorn had already taken out a few silver coins and placed them on the dirty table.

"Let's get out of here," he urged.

Matthew had no choice but to follow Professor Slughorn and quickly leave the Hog's Head Bar.

Once again we came to the bustling Central Avenue.

"Professor." Matthew asked hurriedly: "You just said that the Pig's Head Bar is not the place we should stay."

"Of course," Slughorn explained: "That kind of place doesn't look like a place that serious people should go to. A little guy like you, if I hadn't just passed by, would have been eaten up and wiped clean by others. I don't know what to do." What's going on?"

“If you want to drink butterbeer, I suggest going to Two Broomsticks. It’s much better both in terms of environment and taste.”

Slughorn said enthusiastically: "Let's go have a drink together."

"Of course, Professor." Matthew nodded.

And when Matthew followed Slughorn, he had just left the Hog's Head Bar.

The witch, who was wearing a thick black gauze scarf hanging down to her feet, also hurriedly paid the bill and walked out.

Then quietly followed the pace of the old and the young in front.
