Man of Steel in the comic world

Chapter 9 The Collector’s Prophecy

Kern prison.

"I swear, I don't know where they went." A prison guard begged at Nebula's feet.

"If he knew where they were going, he would have told us," Nebula reported to Ronan. "The Nova Corps sent a fleet to guard the prison."

"Okay then." Ronan raised his head and began to issue orders: "Send Necron fighter jets to every corner of this quadrant (universe space unit)."

"play hard."

"At any cost."

"Find the cosmic spirit ball!"

Ronan walked towards the spacecraft: "We can't let Nova know what we are looking for."

"No one alive here."

Ronan stepped onto the ship.

Behind him came the screams of prison guards and prisoners.

Inside the broker's shop.

"Do you still have gadgets like this?" Yondu pointed to the artificial gemstone jewelry on the glass counter. “I want to have a row of them on my console.”

"I don't know if you are joking." The broker didn't know why.

"He's serious," Yondu's younger brother said.

"Well, I can show it to you..." The broker walked out of the counter.

"But first, you have to tell me what the Cosmic Spirit Ball is and why everyone cares about it."

"Then you have to tell me who wants to buy it." Yondu walked up to the broker and opened his jacket with his right hand.

A whistle sounded, and a small red arrow hung in front of the broker's eyes.

"Tell me who the buyer is."

"Let me introduce you ceremoniously," the pink-skinned maid led Karl and his group to the top floor of a strange-looking building. "The Collector, Tenalil Tefan."

Behind the rows of glass display cabinets, an old man with gray hair and strange-looking glasses walked out.

He wore an exaggerated fur from an unknown animal on his upper body, a pair of slim-fitting punk-style leather pants, and sharp boots on his feet.

He walked up to Gamora.

"Oh, my dear Gamora." The Collector gently held Gamora's right hand and gave an elegant hand kiss, "It's great to see you in person."

"Stop talking about these scenes, Tefan." Gamora didn't like the collector's behavior. "We got the thing we promised before, but you know, this thing is very dangerous."

"Who is this?" The collector's eyes were on Karl behind Gamora. "I never expected to meet someone like you, sir."

The collector used the word "you".

"I have survived for endless years.

I have witnessed the rise of countless strong men.

Also saw the end of their era.

The laws of the universe are like pieces on a chessboard to me.

Countless careerists are as ridiculous to me as ants.

But you are different,

I see your uniqueness and endless possibilities. "

The collector walked up to Karl and could only look up at him slightly in front of Karl's tall body.

Karl smiled slightly. If I hadn't known that your house was ransacked by Thanos in Avengers 3, I would have almost believed your ability.

"Mr. Collector, you may call me Kal, Kal-El."

The Collector stared into Carl's eyes for a long time.

"I see who you are. Son of Jor-El, the last of the Kryptonians." The Collector is truly one of the elders of the universe.

"You can save our universe."

The Collector's words made Carl's heart skip a beat.It seems that collectors are not as simple as they thought.

"I saw part of the future." The collector turned and walked to his workbench. "Someone is collecting the Infinity Stones, and the universe is going bad."

"Many creatures have become extinct, the planet is destroyed, and order is in chaos."

"Over the years, I have collected most of the types of life in the universe. In order to continue the inheritance of life."

"I originally thought that the source of this uneasiness was caused by Thanos, but recently I have become more and more uneasy, and the future scenes I see seem to be in a fog."

The crowd fell silent.

Things are not as simple as imagined, and characters like Ronan seem to be just pawns.

"Beautiful boy, let's talk about the cosmic spirit ball." Rocket couldn't stand this heavy atmosphere. "Karl told us this is the Infinity Stone. I think you should explain it to us carefully."

"Where's the cosmic spirit ball? Give it to me." The collector stretched out his hand.

Star-Lord opened his backpack and took out the cosmic spirit ball.

The cosmic spirit ball was placed on the workbench. Two mechanical hands reached into the lines of the sphere and rotated slightly. The spirit ball showed the contents of the body to everyone.

Power Gem.

"My new friends," the Collector said, looking at the dazzling power gem: "At the beginning of the formation of the universe, there were six singularities. After the universe exploded, the remnants of these systems were compressed into condensed Ingots.”

"That's the Infinity Stones."

"It seems that these gems can only be controlled by people with special powers."

"Please see."

A set of images was projected above the crowd.

A giant with a body towering into the sky, wearing strange armor, holding a weapon inlaid with power gems, destroyed a civilization in an instant.

"These people can use gems effortlessly."

The collector said slowly.

"I'm already scared to death." Star-Lord muttered to himself.

"At one time, there was an organization that could share the power of gems with each other, but in fact they did not escape the power of gems."

"It's so beautiful." The collector looked at the power gem emitting purple light with fascination.

Dark Star.

Krass reported to Ronan: "A group of galactic marauders were discovered, and their leader is named Yondu Wudangta."

"He is the adoptive father of the boy nicknamed Star-Lord." Klass said, "The cosmic spirit ball is in Star-Lord's hands."

"Follow them and see where they are going." Ronan sat back on the stone seat. "Calling the Necron fighter planes, there is no room for failure this time!"

.

.

.

"That's a lot of nonsense," Rocket was not interested in the Power Stone, "So what are we going to do? Who should give this Infinity Stone to?"

"Your Excellency Collector." Karl thought for a moment, "Since you have foreseen the danger in the future, I don't know what your plans are."

"For now, I don't think Thanos is ready for war." The Collector analyzed. "Thanos has been using the Chitauri and the space pirates and Ronan to test something."

"Although the Lord of the Nine Realms is already late, as long as he is still alive, Thanos himself will never go to the atrium easily."

"The Supreme Mage is still looking for a successor, and the threat from Dormammu has left her too busy to take care of herself."

"The timing is very delicate now, and many people are waiting for this balance to tip."

The Collector continued, "Although Thanos has slaughtered many planets, it is undoubtedly a small effort. For the countless living planets in the galaxy, this is nothing more than a drop in the bucket. But for a big force like the Nova Corps, for Thanos The North and Cree people are doing nothing, they are too conservative and I am disappointed."

"But you gave me hope." The collector looked at Karl, "You are young, strong, calm, wise, and charismatic."

"But you can't fight alone, they have an army."

"Now, I want you to try to see if you can master the power of a rough stone."

Carl looked at the power stone.

Zangzhu waved his hand, and a protective stance enveloped everyone.

"Come on, show me your power."
