Hogwarts Homecoming
Chapter 1213 Arrival (Part 1)
Many people are paying attention to the NEWTS course of physical education, which is held twice a week.
However, after learning from the students who had taken the course during lunch that the high-level physical education courses had begun to return to the textbooks, everyone was disappointed, including Harry, Neville and others.
Most people hope that Professor Brain will continue to come up with interesting training subjects so that they can intuitively feel their progress, instead of writing and drawing calculation formulas on a pile of parchment.
However, Hermione was looking forward to this. Compared to those trainings, this was the area she was really good at.
Other than that, there's only one thing to look forward to this week.
That is the study exchange group that is about to arrive at Hogwarts.
Although Professor Brain did not say that specifically at the opening dinner, due to various reasons, the specific identities of the members of this exchange study group have spread like wildfire.
Most people think this is interesting. But some people hold objections.
"I will never eat with those beasts, they will hurt me!"
"That's true, unless you chain them up. Can you imagine, Thalia, sitting next to you while you're eating, a twenty-foot-tall, smelly giant?"
One night, when Ron and Hermione were patrolling the castle together, they heard two first-year Slytherin wizards say this. Then, the two little guys were kicked back to the lounge by a furious Hermione.
Turning her head, Hermione found Ron standing under the huge scoring hourglass, thoughtfully.
"What's wrong?"
Hermione raised her eyebrows high,
"Do you think what they said makes sense?"
"A giant is taller than a troll, right?"
After some hesitation, Ron shrugged and said,
"I just don't think I can't accept being with elves or goblins, but giants. Their destructive power is amazing. Look at Diagon Alley now, almost half of it is their fault."
Hermione's face turned red.
She didn't want to admit it, but she had to admit that there was some truth in what Ron said.
It would be a disaster indeed for a naturally manic giant to appear in the Great Hall of Hogwarts!
"In short, Professor Brain will definitely have a way to restrain their behavior!"
Hermione said angrily, then turned and walked up the stairs.
It has to be said that Amosta's move was very bold. If it were not based on his own prestige, the entire magic world would probably be filled with protests.
Some senior officials in the ministry do not understand this 'deviant' behavior, but they will choose to support it.
After all, without the help of goblins, how could they clean up the magical world that had become abnormal in all aspects because of Voldemort?
Just like when they greeted the students of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons at the beginning of the Triwizard Tournament.
After classes ended on Friday afternoon, organized by the deans of their respective colleges, they lined up and waited under the marble steps at the entrance to the castle.
The little wizards were chattering and discussing, and the scene was a bit chaotic. The professors had no time to maintain order because they themselves were worried about the guests they were about to welcome.
"Are you sure nothing will go wrong, Amosta?"
Professor McGonagall clenched her hands nervously and asked quietly.
"If you ask me to promise that there won't be any trouble, I definitely can't do it, Minerva—"
Amosta said,
"But I believe everything is under control."
Not only did Professor McGonagall not relax, but she became even more nervous. The same was true for other faculty members who heard Amosta's answer. Professor Victor had even pulled out his wand, looking as if he was ready to fight with something at any time.
It was a cold but fresh night, night was falling, and a white, translucent moon was already hanging over the Forbidden Forest.
Harry looked left and right like everyone else, discussing how the exchange group would appear in front of them.
"The goblins might get a carriage the size of Gringotts to fly into the school!"
Harry's biggest fan, Colin Creevey, said half-jokingly, holding up his camera.
The hour and minute hands on the watch coincided with the 'five' mark on the scale. Harry glanced behind him and saw that the candles in the Great Hall were already lit.
"That is."
Because of the experience of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, the young wizards' eyes were focused on the Black Lake and the sky, but when the door of the cabin located on the edge of the Forbidden Forest opened, Harry immediately noticed it.
Harry's surprised voice attracted the attention of some people around him, and they immediately looked in the direction of his gaze.
"There is no doubt that one is Hagrid—"
Ron said nonsense.
"But whoever that guy next to Hagrid looks really small, I mean, compared to Hagrid-"
Neville asked with narrowed eyes.
Hagrid did not come alone, he was accompanied by others.
That man was considered short for Hagrid, but compared to the little wizard, Slytherin's two big men, Crabbe and Goyle, were not as good as this man.
"Sorry, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Blaine!"
From a distance, Hagrid's rough voice came over,
"I've been trying to convince little Graup to go out. Oh, he's a little sensitive. He's never seen anything like this. You'd better not scare him!"
Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at each other with confusion in their eyes.
Hagrid stopped more than a hundred feet away from them. Mainly because the fat man he was holding by the wrist couldn't go any further.
"Don't be shy, young man, we have agreed."
Hagrid turned around and patted the rugged man on the shoulder, then pulled him towards the castle.
The little wizards looked on in horror. Little Grawp was competing with Hagrid. His feet were standing straight. Where he passed, two deep strangulation marks appeared on the grass.
Some of the little wizards were already retreating, and Professor McGonagall covered her chest, looking like she was about to faint.
"I understand it all now—"
Hermione, who turned pale, said to Ron and Harry,
"Hagrid didn't keep a fire dragon in the house, he was just entertaining relatives——"
"Hello, Graup--"
Amosta walked out of the faculty and staff, came to Graup, smiled calmly,
"Welcome to the castle as a guest--"
"Make one."
Harry saw that the strong man, whose wrist was always tightly grasped by Hagrid, visibly flinched when facing Professor Blaine.
"eat"
"Oh, look at him, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Brain -"
Although there were bruises at the corners of his eyes, Hagrid said excitedly,
"He knows what it means to be a guest, and I knew he could do it. Before, Graup had been hiding in the mountains and isolating himself from the world. He just lacked experience in communicating with people!"
"Hermione--"
Ron suddenly turned pale and murmured,
"Is it too late to quit that friendly organization now? I am willing to pay ten times the gold you gave me in exchange for my freedom."
"Hagrid never told me"
The veins on Harry's forehead were throbbing.
This strong man, whom Hagrid called Grawp, was not as powerful as Hagrid in terms of size, but Harry could vaguely feel that his strength was probably not inferior to Hagrid's!
"Is this the giant?"
Neville was also a little shocked.
"I thought giants were about twenty feet tall, but this..."
Neville glanced at the two deep strangulation marks on the green grass with the corner of his eye.
"Oh, his strength seems to be up to standard."
"This is not what he is like—"
Hermione gasped,
"Giants have innate magic. They can make themselves smaller."
"Make yourself smaller"
Ron let out a few scary laughs,
"Why would they do that? They certainly don't realize that being that big can scare people, right?"
"Because giants sometimes enter the wizarding world to find spouses and give birth to offspring. In that case, they must make their body shapes suitable-"
Hermione still looked at Grawp in fear, but she couldn't control her instinct of 'popularizing science'.
Giants look for wizards
The corners of Harry's mouth twitched, feeling like the sky was falling. (End of chapter)
