Chapter 2793 The Sun in the Water (5)

"cheers."

The usual welcome party for the new school year begins once again in the Hufflepuff Lounge, with the children "dancing", if it must be called dancing, to the accompaniment of wacky witch music.

Phoebe looked good, and many people greeted her. There were many people around Nymphadora Tonks. Even in the magical world, disguised Animagus are still very rare, and people watched her out of shape. Tonks graciously agreed, and her performance added plenty of laughs to the party.

Tonks is the daughter of Ted Tonks and Andromy Big Black. Unlike Sirius Black, Andromy was sorted into Slytherin House. I don’t know when, Andromi from a pure-blood family Yamato fell in love with Ted, who came from a Muggle family, and Andromeda even defected from the family. Instead of choosing a family marriage partner, he married Ted.

That's astonishing enough, Pomona thought, leaving the break room after draining the last of the shrunken fig juice from the glass.

When the lounge door closed behind Pomona, the noise and music inside were blocked, and the hallway was silent.

This silence is different from the silence of last year. There is no restlessness or panic. The smell of food floats out from the kitchen, and the air is filled with a sweet smell, as well as the slightly sour smell of fruit.

“…I’m still afraid of those paintings…”

Just as Pomona was about to go to her office, she heard a girl's voice from the end of the corridor.

"I'm here, you're not alone." A boy said, and Pomona squinted his eyes to make a careful distinction. The boy seemed to be a Gryffindor.

"I'll protect you," the Gryffindor boy continued, as confident as any man who isn't afraid of lightning strikes.

But the Hufflepuff girl believed him, and looked up at him with teary eyes.

It would be immoral to continue watching, Pomona turned her head and left, she just hoped that the girl would remember the professor's reminder not to go with the boy where no one is. It's just sending his girlfriend back to the dormitory, no big deal.

When she turned into the dark corridor, Dumbledore's office "appeared" in front of her eyes, Phoenix Fox let out a soft, sweet humming, the portraits of previous principals were snoring in the photo frame, and the Pensieve was taken away again Coming out, Dumbledore took a crystal bottle and poured the silver-white memory inside.

She approached the stone basin, sank her face into the water, and after experiencing that familiar feeling of falling into the void, she arrived at Slughorn's office. Young Slughorn already had a shiny, bald spot the size of a Galleon on his head, and his figure was not as round as it is now, but the gold buttons of his embroidered vest were taut, and six or seven boys Sitting around him, he had just turned upside down the hourglass that changed the flow of sand depending on whether the conversation was pleasant or not.

"This is the most important memory I have collected." Dumbledore said behind her, "Look carefully."

"Sir, is Professor Dorothy retiring?" a handsome boy asked, and Pomona immediately recognized him as You-Know-Who.

"Tom, I know I can't tell you," Slughorn said to him reproachfully, but the reproach did not sound sullen, and the old slug was drinking, choosing from a box of pineapple preserves, watching Get up very relaxed.

"I have to say, I wonder where you got the news from, boy, you know more than half the faculty, and thanks for the pineapple, by the way, how do you know it's my favorite?"

"Instinct." Tom smiled, and the other boys snickered.

They chatted about other topics until the small alarm clock struck 11 o'clock. No matter how slowly the hourglass passed, the normal time was still going on in an orderly manner.

"My God, is this time already?" said Slughorn. "It's time to go, boys, or Professor Dieby will lock you up."

The boys got up from their chairs and filed out, but only Tom lagged behind, and he could be seen dawdling, hoping to be alone in the room with Slughorn.

Slughorn didn't notice this, he flicked the hourglass lightly, and the glass made a crisp sound.

"Go back, Tom." Slughorn finally found out that Tom hadn't left, but he still didn't blame him, but coaxed him in a tone similar to petting, "The lights are about to turn off, be careful of getting caught."

"Sir, I want to ask you something." Tom said, "I can't find anyone to talk to. The other professors, they are different from you. They... always misunderstand me."

"Go on." Slughorn took a sip of his wine.

"A few nights ago, in the restricted section of the library, I found a book with a rare kind of magic written on it. I remember that magic is called...Horcrux."

A strange thing happened, the whole room was shrouded in thick white fog, and Slughorn's voice resounded loudly in the room.

"I don't know anything about Horcruxes, and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you! Get out now, and don't let me hear you mention this again!"

"That's it." Dumbledore said calmly from the side, "It's time to go."

Pomona felt himself fly, and a few seconds later he was back in the cellar corridor.

In front of her stood a dark man, his robe almost blended with the darkness, especially those eyes, like two dark corridors with no one in them.

Albus told her not to be fooled by a man's tenderness, he was always so full of wisdom.

"After the test, Slughorn and Dumbledore went next door." Snape put down his wand. "They chatted for a while. I guess it was a very important thing. Horace was very emotional. Dumbledore 'pacified' him."

"If you want to know what they talked about, you can ask yourself." Pomona said with her head down, trying to get around him.

He stretched out his hand, blocking her way.

"I deserve to know the truth." Snape said in a voice that almost growled. "He used me."

"And you got what you wanted," said Pomona quietly. "Congratulations, Professor."

He seemed to be irritated, and squeezed her arm hard.

But he quickly controlled his emotions and let go.

"At least we know why Slughorn was so emotional, and what Dumbledore took from him," he said in a crooning voice.

Pomona doesn't like "us," but she doesn't correct him either.

"No wonder he went to such trouble." Snape sneered. He is the teacher of the Dark Lord, and unlike others, he has revealed secrets that should not be revealed."

"Can I go?" Pomona asked in a low voice.

"I told you, when you talk to people, look them in the eyes." He said in a tense tone, "Look at me."

She hesitated for a moment, then slowly raised her head.

Since none of them flashed with fluorescent light, the surroundings were completely dark, which allowed the slightest bit of light to be seen, like the dimmest star in the constellation Lynx.

Or Poisson bright spots, it may be that the observer's old eyes are dizzy, so he can't see the subtle light spots in the dark, or he is selectively blind.

Freud wrote about a case where a young man confided in him that his wife was not very beautiful but she seemed to him to make him happy so she was charming but she would do the same Things make other people happy, but every time he thinks about it, he will be very miserable, and he hasn't had a good night's sleep since then.

After Freud learned that the young wife did not betray him, it turned out that the young man was jealous of a non-existent person.

So Freud wrote: He was the caretaker of his wife's unconscious behavior.

Among the many strong emotions of human beings, none are more obsessed and bewitched than love and jealousy.

Stargazers call it evileye, just like the eyes of the fallen angel Sariel, all creatures seen by these eyes will lose their mobility, as if they have been "petrified".

When a person loses vision, other senses will become more acute. She smells the sweet aroma of mint leaves, sage and fruits.

This is the taste of her first kiss, much better than garlic.
