Harry Potter’s Morning Light

Chapter 2536: Smoke and Mirror (2)

Chapter 2536 Smoke and Mirror (2)

From the night Sirius Black broke into the Gryffindor lounge, Filch had plugged every crevice in the castle.

But for the mouse, his method didn't work very well. Those little things could "fly in the sky". Pomona didn't want the girls in Breitbarton to wake up one night and find a mouse on their bed.

"Ew~" She looked at the "rat waves" that were locked in the rat traps, and felt like goosebumps appeared again.

"Have you found Scabbers?" asked Hagrid cheerfully, with several dead ferrets hanging from his body, which were fed to Buckbeak.

The weather is getting hot and flies are starting to fly around the dead minks, making not only annoying buzzing noises, but also a stench.

It's not that she can't stand the sanitation of Hagrid and his cabin, but she has to prepare three meals a day for thousands of people at Hogwarts. How can she cook delicious food while thinking about mice and dead ferrets?

"No." Pomona shook her head in pain. She felt that even if she really caught Scabbers with the Summoning Charm, she would immediately throw it on the ground.

"Mr. Longbottom will help you tomorrow," said Pomona.

"Okay," said Hagrid, whistling at Buckbeak, who immediately came over, his eyes fixed on the dead mink in Hagrid's hand.

   "Come on, Hawkbeak."

Buckbeak approached, and then Hagrid threw the dead mink into a large wooden barrel, then poured the rat into it, and Buckbeak had another "big meal".

Pomona, unable to look directly, said goodbye to Hagrid and went back to the castle.

She didn't mean to call Neville, she just asked him to do a little favor, not to mention he shared a dormitory with Ron, how could he live with Ron if he was afraid of mice?

She passed the greenhouse on the way back, and she thought of Ron Weasley again.

Even with Hermione's help, his grades improved only slightly, but unlike Neville, he wasn't focused enough.

In the herbal medicine class, he peeled the pods, and he felt like a housewife peeling chickpeas. He peeled the beans while chatting with people, and the beans were scattered all over the ground.

He is an ordinary boy in every way, with no special talents, not as famous as his friend Harry, and as rich as his family.

When he was in first grade, Harry took him to see the Mirror of Erised. In the mirror, he saw himself holding the Academy Cup. For an 11-year-old child, this was their "ambition". It's a pity that Ron didn't make it to the school team, let alone his "brother" who was a Seeker.

Pomona suddenly wanted to go to the Mirror of Erised to see, but it might distract her. The exam week is getting closer and closer, and the exam schedule has come out. The third-year herbal medicine exam is Wednesday afternoon, the morning is the history of magic, and the astronomy class is Tuesday midnight.

Even if the history of magic cannot be passed by "sleepwalking", no one cares about the grades in this course, including the teacher.

She glanced at the sun, there were still some clouds today, but she didn't know if the weather was so sunny on the day of the exam, and the sunlight coming in through the glass would still make your skin hurt, so it was uncomfortable to continue to stay in the greenhouse at this time.

Pomona placed her main office in Hufflepuff's cellar. The advantage of being semi-underground is that she can see at least a little sunshine, instead of being cold and dark all day long like the bottom of the lake where Slytherin is located.

After returning to the office, she went to the kitchen to get a vanilla ice cream, and then put her feet on the sofa, enjoying the leisurely time while eating ice cream.

"Shouldn't you be busy?" said the old bat, as he wandered past the door of her office.

"I need to rest!" she said coldly.

   "What about your athletes?"

"The exam is coming soon, after the exam is over..."

"They're going to be eager to pack up, get on the train, and go home for the summer," Snape said softly, "except for Mr. Harry Potter, who doesn't like holidays, and his friend Hermione Granger expecting teachers Homework."

"Oh~" Pomona suddenly realized, "Where is Harry going to spend his summer vacation this year? Is he still going back to Privet Drive?"

"His mother's spell will protect him until he's 17, and until then he has to stay at the Dursleys, no matter how 'unhappy' he is." He pursed his lips. "No one wants him to be the same as last year."

"You mean running away?" Pomona asked.

   Snape glared at her.

"Okay, I'll call out the 'athletes'!" She said feebly, put the ice cream on the table, and came to the lounge not far away.

It can’t be said that Hufflepuff is completely indecisive, like Zacchares Smith, who desperately wants to be a Seeker.

Cedric is not just a Seeker, but a Captain, who decides who plays and what the formation is. This was originally the Dean's power. For example, Minerva made Harry an exceptional Seeker, and Pomona gave this power to the Quidditch captain.

In short, the Hufflepuff Quidditch team is facing chaos because of the "change" problem. Since the last game against Gryffindor when they were attacked by Dementors, the Hufflepuffs have become obsessed with yoga and skipping rope. This is what Snape saw when he walked in after the door to the lounge opened. They were supposed to listen to soothing music to practice yoga. The magic plants that could sing in the lounge were singing. Suddenly, they seemed to be choking on their own saliva, and they collectively silenced after a violent cough.

She couldn't describe that scene in words, but it was unforgettable in her life, Sirius said she was a bad commentator, probably right, she really couldn't find the right adjective.

"Quidditch players, please gather at the atrium~I have something important to announce~" Pomona said softly.

"The exam is about to take place, Dean..."

"I'll give you half an hour," Snape said. "If you're not around then, don't worry about the potions test."

Then he pulled on his robes and walked away in awe.

"He can't do that," Susan Burns said. "We can complain about him."

"Okay kids, listen up," Pomona said solemnly. "We've lost in too many areas, except for herbal medicine and the conservation of magical creatures..."

"Not even the Fantastic Beasts class." Someone muttered in the crowd, but Pomona didn't see who it was.

"That's why I asked Dean Snape to help. He has new tactics and tactics to defeat Gryffindor," Pomona said.

"What's the use, Harry Potter has Firebolts," said Zakares.

"That's why we're going to listen to what he has to say, go, all go." Pomona urged "Don't stay in the lounge."

The   quidditch players had to put down their quills and leave the lounge.

"Why doesn't Dean Slytherin train his own house?" Sharby asked.

   "Isn't that obvious?"

"Are we going to stay at school for summer training?" Cadwalad asked.

   "Oh~"

   Everyone wailed.

"No, the Quidditch pitch has other uses this year," Pomona said.

   "Yeah~~" Everyone cheered.

Pomona couldn't help laughing, maybe Harry Potter is the only kid in the world looking forward to school soon.

===================================================== ======

Cheers from the distance could be heard through the car window. Georgiana actually wanted to watch the game, but unfortunately there was no commentary and no radio.

"Ma'am, who did you bet on?" Matilda asked.

   "The Jet Devil," Georgiana replied.

Matilda looked out the window, and there was a conspicuous plume of black smoke rising into the sky.

This is not the same as the white smoke that the Hogwarts Express spews out. In fact, it doesn't have to spew smoke, mainly for camouflage.

She heard the familiar and unfamiliar roar outside. Fortunately, Remus was also in the car that day, otherwise she really didn't know what would happen.
