   Chapter 2110 Flower War (18)

It is said that the Hokkien language originated in the Luoshui area of the Yellow River. During the Western Jin Dynasty, it spread to Zhejiang, Guangdong and other regions with the "Nandu". Many people believe that the Mandarin in the Tang Dynasty was Hokkien, so local opera troupes often sang it. Poems by Li Bai et al.

Lang rides a bamboo horse and goes around the bed to get green plums.

Living together in Changganli, the two little ones have no doubts,

The kind of love story that grew up together is called "childhood sweethearts". In the ceremony, the children also played a role. From time to time, they would see a "little general", only six or seven years old, only three feet tall, riding a bamboo pole, and a section with a horse head model, pretending that it was a A horse, armed with a bow and arrow, ran past Nick and Ringo.

Their costumes are a bit like Halloween kids, just dressed up as characters from Chinese mythology.

Lin Gua plans to customize a lacquer box. Although Yangzhou lacquer is traditionally considered the best, Guangzhou's lacquer is also very distinctive. He might be a regular customer of that store. As soon as he appeared, the boss put down his work and came to receive him. Lin Gua didn't come empty-handed this time, and he also brought a sketch.

The Chinese perfect the lacquer craftsmanship. Each lacquer factory is divided into several workshops. In one workshop, woodworkers prepare materials and make utensils. Then, a layer of coarse-grained clay is applied to the surface of the wooden utensils. The stone will polish off the clay so that the clay will be embedded in the gaps of the wood, and then use a brush to paint a layer of paint on the surface of the wood, and then scrape off that layer of paint after drying, and then apply the second layer of paint, and then repeat the previous process. .

The process of scraping the paint should be repeated all the time, and the paint should be applied several times according to the transparency and firmness of the lacquer. It is possible to paint three times or even a dozen times in a row. The awl pierced the lines to make small holes, and then the strips of paper were attached to the lacquerware and sprayed with talcum powder. The fine powder of talc is deposited on the surface of the lacquer through small holes, thus replicating the pattern on the lacquer.

The lacquer workers have superb craftsmanship, but lack a sense of design in the pattern. They are no longer satisfied with simple bright or matte gold plating, but also apply silver plating and painting techniques to lacquerware, and make green leaves, safflower and lacquer. Baihua's lacquerware, and the sketches brought by Lin Gua came in handy.

Some people like Japanese lacquerware. Although Japanese lacquerware is simple in appearance, it is still very thick compared to Chinese lacquerware. The lacquer layer is very bright, but the color is not so rich.

These wonderful ornaments are so valuable that even the most critical eye and careful observation will not be able to pick out any flaws, and it is impossible to bring them back to shabby Europe.

But Nick still liked a fan bone. One is that it is easy to carry, and the other is that it has a very beautiful pattern. The black primer depicts bronze-colored bamboo. The slender lines make it look extra light.

"It was customized by another customer." After learning about Nick's idea, the boss told him through Lin Gu, "How about choosing this tea pot?"

Nick thinks this little thing might be hard to come by among the many gifts for the Admiral.

"How much is this?" Nick asked again, and he hoped to pay more to convince the designer of the fan bone to sell it to him.

"Three hundred silver dollars." Lin Gu gestured with his hands.

Nick thinks he'd better go somewhere else to see if there's anything else to make as a gift.

There are more than a dozen antique shops in this area. Compared with the shop where Nick bought a clock last time, they all sell lacquerware and root carvings. The shop owner shows them the masterpieces of nature. The whimsy of the craftsmen turned into works of art, some like monsters, looking hideous and ferocious, some like landscape paintings, just need to carve two houses and look like a fairyland surrounded by clouds.

In the end, Nick still didn't get the gift he wanted. Just when they decided to leave, there was a sudden commotion. There was a man holding a sword in his hand and was chasing a few children. They threw away the one they were riding. Bamboo Horse, panicked and ran to a crowded place, but everyone around him avoided it, so that the child could run faster, and the man who was slashing after them could chase them faster.

Nick decided to step forward to stop him. Lin Gua tried to stop him, but failed. When the man with the weapon came to Nick, Nick easily subdued him. Talking things he doesn't understand.

"This man is a lunatic." Lin Gua ran over and said.

Nick still didn't understand, he looked at the onlookers, they looked at the scene in front of them with indifference, even the few children who were chased by the madman cried out in fright.

   "The official is here!"

Someone shouted, and then several yamen officers walked over from the periphery of the crowd. The junior officer clasped his fists and said thanks to Nick, and then let the maniac be taken away.

Nick couldn't help but feel worried about the situation in Guangzhou. A madman can cause such a big riot. If a sane person really rebelled and rioted, what would happen to Guangzhou city.

In fact, many of the white lotus believers in chaos in Chuanchu are starving and homeless people. They hope to get some spiritual sustenance in their despair. For these homeless people who are trying to get rid of real suffering, the future Buddha that the white lotus religion promotes The legend of changing the world is very attractive, especially the idea of "average" and "mutual aid".

"No one will help me." On the contrary, people will persecute those homeless people. These people gather into a force called "White Turban Army", which has developed into killing the rich and helping the poor. People on the verge of peace and prosperity have become scapegoats, but scapegoats are unwilling to be scapegoats all the time and become sheep. The place where the White Lotus Sect first revolted was Shandong where Wang Lun was located, and it was also the province where the most active governor in the Call of Souls case, Funihan, was located. Qianlong’s worries were completely justified. Nihan is a Manchu, and his punishment was nothing more than a demotion.

The more people believe in witchcraft and the more people believe in religion, it is like a vaccine against witchcraft.

Those who used to live a stable, prosperous family life will suffer a shock here, and nothing but force can stop this madness, unless they choose to flee, only then they become homeless and homeless. The same people who returned.

There is a story in Buddhism that Kassapa would bring some food to the Buddha every morning. The Buddha would walk alone on the tree-lined path or near the lotus pond. Later, Kassapa would discuss with the Buddha under the tree or by the pond.

One night, the torrential rain continued until dawn, the Niren Chan River flooded, and the nearby farmland was flooded, and boats and boats went around to save people.

Although these people could go to the highlands, they could not find any trace of Gautama. Kasyapa sent several boats to look for it, and finally found it on the distant mountain.

The flood rose quickly and retreated quickly. The next day, the Buddha walked down the mountain with a bowl and went to the village to inspect the damage of the villagers. Fortunately, no one drowned. The villagers told the Buddha that because they did not have much property, the damage was naturally minor. .

Kassapa's disciples began to rebuild the house that had been washed away by the flood, and one afternoon, as the Buddha and Kasyapa were standing by the Niren Chan River together, Kasyapa asked, "Gautama, you said to me that day that a man body, feelings, thoughts, mental formations, and consciousness. Afterwards, I practiced this kind of meditation, and I began to understand that there is nothing permanent in a person's feelings and thoughts, and I also understand that the so-called independent individual is an illusion. It’s not true, the only thing I don’t understand is that if we have no self-nature, why should we practice and be born in the world? Who is liberated?”

Buddha asked "Kashyapa, do you admit that suffering is the reality?"

"Gautama, of course I admit that suffering is the reality of life."

"Do you agree that there is a reason for suffering?"

"I agree that there must be a reason for suffering."

"Kasyapa, when the cause of suffering exists, suffering also exists, and when the cause of suffering is eliminated, suffering should also be eliminated."

"right."

"The main cause of suffering is ignorance, which is a misunderstanding of the reality of the world. Greed, hatred, delusion, jealousy, and countless sufferings all arise from ignorance. The way to liberation is to see things as they really are, and to experience all dharmas. Impermanence, lack of self-nature and mutual causation, this is the way to eliminate ignorance, to get rid of ignorance, suffering will be transcended."

Kassapa sat silently for a while and said, "Gautama, I know that you have personally witnessed it. Your words are not just expressions of concepts. You say that liberation is obtained from diligent meditation and insight into the truth of things. Do you think that all Is it useless to perform rituals, worship and recite sutras?"

Buddha pointed to the opposite side of the river and said, "Kashyapa, if a person wants to cross the river, what will he do?"

"If the water is shallow, he can wade, and if it is deep, he can take a boat."

"I also agree, if he can't wade in water or take a boat, then what will he do? Standing on this bank and looking at the other bank, and praying for the other bank to come to him, what do you think?"

   "I'd say he's pretty stupid."

"Exactly, Kasyapa, if a person cannot remove the obstacles of ignorance and knowledge, he will not be able to cross the river and reach the other side of liberation, even if he prays in vain all his life. Whether it’s sweet or bitter, it’s burning, don’t let the flames of greed, hatred, and delusion engulf you, and be clear about the impermanence and interdependence of Dhamma, so as not to become slaves in the great wheel of life and death influenced by the senses.”

If you look closely, ordinary Buddhas are half-open and half-closed. Although Maitreya Buddha squinted his eyes with a smile, his eyes are also closed. When does a Bodhisattva close his eyes?

There is a saying among the people that if the Bodhisattva closes his eyes, he will not save the world, but when Guan Gong opens his eyes, he will kill.

Soldiers have no constant form, and water has no constant shape. Those who can win due to the changes of the enemy are called gods.

The Buddha held flowers, and Kasyapa smiled.

So what is Kasyapa laughing at?
