Harry Potter’s Book of Sin

Chapter 26 Maca's Gift Delivery

Different from the warmth of the small Christmas party at Lovegood's house, there is only one word to describe the Hogwarts Christmas banquet, and that is - majestic!

Exactly one hundred roast turkeys glowing with oil, hills of char-roasted beef and salt-boiled potatoes, large plates of delicious little sausages, bowls of green peas mixed with butter, plates of thick and fragrant With gravy and lingonberry sauce, the sumptuous dishes are mouth-watering.

Every few steps along the dining table, there are piles of wizard color packs and firecrackers waiting for you. These fantastic bunting crackers were nothing like the shabby plain crackers that Muggle families usually buy - just little plastic toys and flimsy paper hats inside.

Harry and Fred smoked a cracker together, and instead of a dull bang, it went off like a cannon blast, engulfing them both in a cloud of blue smoke while blasting from within. Bring out a rear admiral's hat, and a few lively mice.

At the guest table, Dumbledore changed into a lace hat he got from nowhere, decorated with a cluster of brightly colored flowers. He was indulging in Professor Flitwick's little joke at the moment, laughing cheerfully!

After the main meal, there was a flame-red Christmas pudding, in which occasionally someone ate some silver crescents. Percy hit the lottery - he almost broke his neat front teeth.

Albus, look at those Christmas trees, these are the little presents Mr. McLean left for us before he left. Professor McGonagall patted Dumbledore's elbow lightly, she giggled, it was long gone The usual stern look.

Oh, yes, what a nice boy. Dumbledore looked at those festive Christmas trees, nodded happily and praised.

Professor Flitwick also echoed what Professor McGonagall said, and showed Dumbledore all the trinkets Maca made, obviously very satisfied with Maca, an outstanding student.

Snape, who was sitting on the farthest side, still looked indifferent on this day of celebration for all the members. He looked at the Christmas trees shrouded in white mist, wondering what he was thinking.

Just when everyone was in high spirits, owls flew in from outside the auditorium with various packages, scattered and landed in all directions.

What's wrong?

Even the professors didn't figure out why the owl would fly in at this time. Only Dumbledore smiled and looked at the scene in front of him, with a look of relief on his face.

It didn't take long for anyone who received the package to understand that it was a Christmas present from Maka McClain.

When did he learn this trick from the Weasley brothers? Snape said coldly, but he didn't expect a small package to fall right in front of him.

Snape frowned, and tore open the sealed package layer by layer, but was fascinated by the contents inside—it was a bottle of Bliss Elixir.

Each successful preparation of Felix Felicia usually yields as little as a pinky finger. However, the preparation process is extremely complicated, and its average preparation often takes half a year.

Maca got a lot of inspiration from the discussion with Snape, and shortened the preparation time to two months, but the price was a sharp decline in the effect.

This Christmas, Maca spent a lot of Galleons to buy this bottle of Felix Felicia from his partner as his Christmas gift to Snape. This is Maca sincerely thanking Snape for his tireless guidance.

It took the longest time to say that Maca prepared the gift for Luna; but Snape's gift was undoubtedly the most expensive one.

Snape pulled out the cork, put it up to his nose and sniffed, then put the cork back silently.

Severus, am I right? Dumbledore said to Snape, smiling.

Snape twitched the corners of his mouth and replied blankly,

It just costs money.

Not to mention the situation at the guest seat, the students below also received gifts from Maca.

For example, Hermione, who is holding a cartoon lion puppet in her arms with a smile at the moment, reading a small note left by Maca on it - this puppet contains sleeping flower seeds, which can improve sleep Quality, you must know how to rest while studying hard.

What Ron got was a set of the latest wizard war chess - this is Maca's transfiguration exercise. Unlike ordinary wizard chess, this wizard war chess is a set of powerful magical creatures and various wizards. The board game of board games against each other looks pretty cool.

But Harry found that the gift he got seemed to be the most peculiar of the three of them!

What is this? Occlumency? Harry looked at a notebook he took out of the package, and read out the words on the cover word by word.

Occlumency? Hermione asked curiously, What's that?

Harry casually flipped through the contents, only to find that it was actually a notebook in Maca's handwriting. The theories recorded in it were quite complicated, which made him feel a little dizzy.

Show me, Hermione snatched it up and looked through it carefully.

While Hermione looked down to study the diary, Ron and Harry speculated back and forth.

Maca wants you to learn this...brain...secretion, right? said Ron. What's that for?

Harry shook his head, how did he know what that was for? It seems that I have never heard of it.

Then do you want to learn? Ron asked again, Maca asked you to learn, that should be right.

It seems that Maca's previous guess was correct, and Ron would never be angry with him for more than three days.

Well, let's find out what it is first? Harry said, looking at Hermione again with Ron.

After a while, Hermione raised her head and spoke a little puzzled.

According to what Maca described in the previous pages, this magic called 'Occlumency' is a defensive magic used to resist the infiltration of external spirits and prevent others from reading the user's thoughts. Hermione said , It says that it is quite resistant to a spell called 'Legiliency'.

But, what's the use? Does anyone want to read my mind? Harry asked in bewilderment.

Who knows? I'm afraid we have to ask Maca himself. Hermione was also puzzled.

Only Ron didn't take this too seriously, he said with a smile: Maka told you to learn, then learn, he is always right.

While the Gryffindor trio were discussing this, a student on the long Slytherin table not far away received a gift from Maca.

The little idiot Bulova actually has a share? What's the situation? The little snakes were discussing, but no one wanted to talk to her.

The one who received the gift was the mysterious girl who had a very low sense of existence in school—Villi Blois.

Willie opened the package expressionlessly, took out the gift inside and laid it flat on the table. What she got was a journal, too, thicker, bigger, and sturdier.

She opened the notebook, which recorded the botanical history, ecological distribution, cultivation methods and application value of a plant in a neat and concise style. Obviously, Maca also put a lot of thought into this gift—he re-excerpted a copy of his notes and gave it to Willy.

At the back of this notebook, there are still more than half of the vacancies, obviously so that Willie, who is not good at summarizing, can continue to record in this format.

Willie caressed the cover of this notebook carefully. Although there was still no emotion on her face, it was enough for people to understand that she really loved this thoughtful gift.

Thank you. Willie's voice was so low that she probably couldn't even hear it, but this was the first time she said words of thanks, but it was a pity that Maca didn't have the chance to know.

There are too many doubts about this girl who is full of secrets. The lack of emotion is so frightening, the few words are so confusing, and the appearance is so delicate that people have the illusion of inhumanity. All the signs show that there are too many secrets hidden in her, but no one knows the truth.

And this is probably the reason why Maca became interested in her.

Now, for the first time, the mysterious girl shows a gap in her emotional expression, but Maca is still in the distant Lovegood's house.

This has to be said to be a pity.

When everyone turned their attention back to the dining table, everything just faded away and melted into the heated Christmas atmosphere again.

It wasn't until everyone played wildly all afternoon after dinner that the seemingly calm but turbulent night was coming.

It was the best Christmas Harry had ever had. But the thing that was always lingering in his mind and dissipating for a long time, only came back after he lay down on the bed.

He was thinking about the mysterious Christmas gift early this morning—the Invisibility Cloak, and the unknown person who gave it to him.

Giving Christmas presents at dinner parties like maca is an exception, and you'll always find them by the fireplace or by your bed when you wake up on Christmas Day.

Harry didn't expect to receive a gift this morning, but when he woke up, he found that he had received quite a lot of Christmas presents. The most astonishing thing among them was an invisibility cloak given to him by an unsigned person.

There was a note inside, which read: Your father left this thing to me before he died, and it should be returned to you now. Use it well and sincerely wish you a Merry Christmas.

The beautiful cursive font looks pleasing to the eye, but the content made Harry struggle almost all day.

By this time, Ron was stuffed with turkey and cake, and nothing strange was bothering him, so he fell asleep almost as soon as the curtains were lowered. The speed with which he fell asleep almost made Harry a little jealous.

Harry tossed and turned on the bed, finally leaned out from the bed and pulled out the invisibility cloak under the bed.
