Farmer’s Little Girl

Chapter 1723: Buddhism

Chapter 1723 Buddhism and Taoism One

Man Bao and Bai Shan waited for them to give gifts before they stepped forward and took out the longevity lock they bought and gave it to the little emperor grandson. It is a very ordinary lock, and it is estimated that he will not wear it in his lifetime, because his grandmother gave it to him. The piece given is much better.

The emperor saw Zhou Man but remembered it, and smiled: "Speaking of which, you have a longevity lock, like the fifth one?"

Man Bao was confused and pulled out the long life lock that she had never left her body from her neck, and asked, "This?"

The emperor recognized the same as the fifth one at a glance, and nodded with a smile, "Yes, it was sent by the fifth family, it seems to be a silversmith in Shangzhou."

The fifth prince squeezed up from behind, took a look, and nodded, "It's the same piece as mine."

The emperor smiled and asked, "Where is your piece?"

The fifth prince smiled embarrassedly, “Father, I’m getting older and I don’t wear longevity locks a long time ago.”

"You were in a bad shape when you were born. Your grandfather took a lot of effort to call you back and pray for blessings. You look at Zhou Man as long as you wear it." At this point, the emperor looked at Bai Shan behind her and suddenly smiled. : "If you hadn't booked a kiss with Bai Shan early, it would be very appropriate for you to have this relationship with the fifth child."

Man Bao looked up at the fifth prince. He happened to see the acne on his face. He felt a little disgusted. What the fifth prince was thinking about was that she was fainting the king by going up, and she told him last year. When he was in a state of imperial daring, he couldn't help but tremble, and shook his head and took a step back.

Bai Shan stepped forward and stood beside Zhou Man, and stretched out his hand to hold her.

The emperor laughed when he saw it, but when he turned his head, he glared at the fifth prince. He was really a hopeless kid.

Everyone was lively after watching the washing three, and then the emperor gave a banquet, um, gave a banquet in the East Palace.

Except for the two outsiders Zhou Man and Bai Shan, the rest are members of the emperor’s family, the emperor’s wife and the emperor’s daughter-in-law.

The emperor naturally sat with his elder brother and in-laws, and when he saw Zhou Man, he also waved to her.

Because she is also a courtier.

It is suitable for monarchs and ministers.

Because the emperor had a criminal history, Bai Shan sat down with a cheeky, to prevent him from talking about being a pro.

Zhao Liulang and others watched as Bai Shan and Zhou Man approached and sat with their father and brother, who were a generation taller than them.

Of course, it’s not that you can’t speak, the emperor talked while eating, and after commenting on the dishes, he mentioned that he and the queen plan to go to Huguo Temple to offer incense in the next two days and donate some sesame oil money for the little emperor.

He hoped that Zhao Guogong and Pi Guogong could speak for him.

and the queen went out at the same time, and it was not a micro service. Sneaking is impossible, so it must be approved by the ministers, especially the Jingzhao Mansion.

Today, both Zhao Guogong and Pi Guogong were happy, so they agreed.

Man Bao puzzled, "Your Majesty, I think the day is gloomy, and it seems that it's still snowing. Isn't it better to donate sesame oil than to donate food to the people?"

The emperor said: "I just asked Huguo Temple to do this."

Man Bao felt troublesome, and Daoxu had said that they had to save enough money for the sesame oil donated by the lay people under the mountain, and then donate the rest.

She said, “It’s better to hand it over to County Magistrate Tang and County Order Guo to do it.”

The emperor was startled slightly, and after thinking about it, Bai Shan looked aside and asked with a smile, "Do you think so too?"

Bai Shan thought for a while and said: "It is the county magistrate’s responsibility to help the victims and to settle the people, and it is the court's action. The people will only miss your majesty and the little emperor more and more, right?"

The emperor sighed, "But this time it's just a small disaster. This time it's a relief. If you encounter such a small disaster next time, if the court doesn't provide relief, it will only become more and more complaining; and if the relief is done, the treasury is limited."

So for minor disasters, although the imperial court will send officials to preside over it, it seldom offers relief. On the contrary, it encourages the big households in the county and township to take action. Everyone will help each other.

Only when the disaster becomes serious, the court will take action.

Why did the emperor like to donate sesame oil money to Huguo Temple so much? Is it really all donated to Huguo Temple?

just borrowed their hands to turn around and then give it to the people.

As for being intercepted by them, the emperor didn't take it seriously. The monks also had to eat and drink, and they suffered for all living beings, so they should serve.

The emperor    told Man Bao these truths.

Man Bao didn’t understand how they suffered for all sentient beings, let alone what it was like to be a monk.

"Since it is so hard, why not be a Taoist priest?" Man Bao was simply puzzled. "I have friends who are Taoist priests. They never feel bitter. Just like us, they have to work and chant every day. I asked them if they feel bitter. One said that although there are times when they are short of food and clothing, but they are still starving, they always have more money for sesame oil than ordinary people. Another friend of mine said that there are so many people in the world who are more suffering than them, and they all feel suffering. , What about those who are harder than them?"

The emperor smiled and said, "They can think about it, how old are they?"

"Two or three years older than me."

The emperor was happier, "This is because they haven't grown up yet, so they can't feel it. The Buddha said that the suffering of sentient beings is the suffering of reincarnation. There are many poor people in this world. The Buddhists are willing to help them with food and money. They are not so painful. However, the Buddhists have lost things, and the cost of eating and wearing has been reduced. This is their suffering. Therefore, it is said that the generation of sentient beings suffers."

Man Bao and Bai Shan looked confused. The two looked at each other and became even more puzzled. “But isn’t their income still given by the believers? It’s not their work.”

The emperor smiled and said: "That is our offering to the Bodhisattva. Since it is an offering, it will naturally belong to him."

Bai Shan asked, "Why do you want to make offerings to the Bodhisattva?"

"Naturally, I want something." The emperor wanted too much for Jiangshan, Sheji, and the common people.

In the first two years, the queen was seriously ill, so he donated a lot of sesame oil to Huguo Temple in order to get the queen to recover from her illness. Later, the emperor finally got through the trouble.

Bai Shan and Man Bao are still puzzled, but they don't know where to ask, they can only whisper in a low voice: "The Taoist Shouqing said, if a person is depressed, he will go up to the mountain to worship the Lord Tianzun, let go of his heart, maybe good luck Come. But the gods and ghosts will not change the fate of mortals. Since mortals are fierce, they naturally have to survive by themselves. The gods and ghosts can help limited."

They can only mutter in a low voice, “It always feels like they do good deeds and come back after a round.”

The emperor raised his eyelids and asked, "Say aloud what you want to say, why bother mumbling?"

Man Bao cleared his throat and said: “The Taoist Shouqing never felt bitter to be a Taoist priest, but felt very comfortable. The believers donate money and materials to the Taoist Temple because they believe in the old monarch and need him to pray on his behalf.”

The emperor thought for a while and said, "The same goes for the Buddhist school."

See you at four in the afternoon
