976 Son's Infiltration II

'I am a chosen warrior of the sun gods. I was chosen by Rox'su - the Golden Sun. I am the chosen warrior that will light the path until the very end.' Lee Seng reminded himself as he opened his eyes. He lifted his left hand and re-summoned Diminished Sun to him. He grabbed it and watched Son blast straight for him. 'I am the one who can change Fate's path!'

"Die!" Son shouted, swinging his hand. A wave of gravity flew outwards at Lee Seng, crashing into him. Smoke billowed as Son continued forward, swiping his hands like claws. A burning heat blocked Son's swipes, pushing him out of the smoke. Lee Seng pushed the smoke away with a single swing, revealing his golden form of fire and light.

Gold armor sat on Lee Seng's spiritual form. Runic markings floated above Lee Seng's head like a halo as the energy flowed to his sword. The molten sword began to change - shaping itself into a golden blade with silver wraps on the hilt. A red and blue orb sat at the end of it and runes fluttered onto the blade, quickly disappearing.

"What's this? You were faking it the entire time?" Son asked, intrigued. "I gotta say, if it weren't for these constant upgrades, I would've come out pre-baked. I guess I should thank you for that, right?" He stuck his hand out and smiled. "Gravitum: Meteor Rush." A large meteor flew out of Son's hand, going straight for Lee Seng.

"Fate doesn't dictate what happens entirely. I do." Lee Seng swung the golden sword, watching hundreds of runes scatter across the meteor in an instant. The meteor split in half, lighting the runes up and exploding all of the burning rock into nothing. "How I feel and what I'll do are two different things. You can't flood me with scenarios that could and maybe will happen. It's up to me to get to the outcome."

Lee Seng pointed the sword at Son. He couldn't help but feel the sadness within him when he saw Son. A Failed One that was bound to Lee Seng at birth. They were intertwined to have the exact moment go down. Son bared his fangs and snarled. He had thought he used everything to whittle Lee Seng into a nobody.

"How can you constantly do this?" Son asked. "You push forward when things get rough. You scream. You fight. You want to be alone! How can you look at that and dismiss it? You can't forget what they did to you — what they did to us! Aren't you angry at them? Doesn't exploding the lab and turning this place into a wasteland fun? Shouldn't you express that more?"

Lee Seng didn't immediately answer. He lowered the sword and thought about it. He nodded his head at Son's words. "At some point, I walked the path of destruction, but now I want something better than that. I want a place I can call home. I want people I can count on with my very life. I want to come home to someone who loves me and understands me, wholeheartedly. I want… to be with my brother and walk with him in our own paths."

"You can't really believe you'll have all of that, hm?" Son scoffed, letting out a chuckle. "You are a monster in their eyes. You'll never be accepted. The only way you'll get accepted is if you let me help you. I'm the only one who understands you the best. I'll make a world where we're at the top and they're at the bottom."

"Man, you sound like a typical villain from Akio's manga." Lee Seng swiped his sword in the air. His cold eyes pierced Son. It was enough for Son to understand Lee Seng wasn't listening to a word he was saying. Son's face scrunched in anger. It was the easiest indicator to know Son was upset. Lee Seng would know because… well, Son was him. "'I'm going to destroy the world because of my tragic ass backstory.' Haha, that's so lame. Are we going to fight or—"

Son exploded with fury, pushing himself straight to Lee Seng. He swung a punch at Lee Seng, who dodged it. Son was fueling himself with his own anger. Lee Seng dodged Son's attacks, watching an exact replica of his movesets be used against him. Blasts of gravity flew past Lee Seng's head and body as he dodged. He swung in retaliation, trying to keep Son from doing anything too crazy.

"Why. Won't. You. Just. Die!" Son's fist glimmered with a colorful flame. He swung it and released a blast of Celestial Dragon fire at Lee Seng. Lee Seng floated backwards, arms guarding his face as the pressure of the flames pushed him backwards. "Disintegration Ray!"

A black and red beam shot out of his fingers, eating everything in its way as it came straight for Lee Seng. Lee Seng swung his sword, cutting the disintegration ray in half. Golden runes fluttered into existence, killing the attack. Tiny butterflies appeared, dancing like the wisps Lee Seng had grown accustomed to. They fluttered through the air, revealing Son's shocked face.

'He can do that, too?' Lee Seng thought. 'I guess he took more than I gave him credit for. Unluckily for him, I figured out what the fire in my belly was all about.' Lee Seng twirled the sword in his hands like he had always done, but this time his weapon began to glow brighter.

"Gravitum: Piercing Flash and Dash!" Son disappeared from his spot and reappeared, raking his claws across Lee Seng's energy armored body. Sparks flew as Son disappeared before Lee Seng could react. He reappeared, slashing and disappearing, doing this over many times. "Devouring Slash!" Son reappeared, swinging his charged claws at Lee Seng's face. Lee Seng stepped backwards, bending his back and watching the claws miss him. He snapped back upwards and slammed his palm into Son.

Son flew backwards, sliding along Lee Seng's mind and stopping about twenty feet away. Lee Seng twirled the sword, again, and he could feel something was up.

"I've never fought myself before…" Lee Seng cracked his neck. "I guess I can keep up with you." Lee Seng cracked a smile, sending Son into a frenzy. Dark energy exploded out of him and Son flickered. Lee Seng swung his sword outwards, watching Son reappear directly in his swing. Son screamed in pain as the golden blade released all of the stored energy within it, severing an arm from the elbow.

Son recoiled, clutching his arm. The pain was nothing like Son had ever felt before. It felt like a heated blade had cut his arm and severed the pain. He tried his best to hide his pain from Lee Seng. Son winced in pain as the stump of his cut off arm began to bubble. It grew outwards instantly, re-healing his cut arm in an instant.

Lee Seng raised his sword and dashed straight for Son. He swung the blade and watched Son stumble backwards, getting nicked by the blade. Lee Seng swung the blade, not allowing Son to have any time to react. Son dodged the blade, feeling his wounds burn in response to his insane healing capabilities.

Runes scattered across the blade as Lee Seng swung, releasing them. Runes scattered into the air, forcing Son to blink backwards.

"You think tricks like that will work on me? I know how you fight! You won't get the upper-hand on someone who's much better than you." Son smirked. The golden runes slowed to a stop as their master lowered his sword. Lee Seng shrugged.

"'You're the weakest person I've infiltrated.'" Lee Seng mocked Son. "How's that going for you now, hm?" Son's smirk faded. He bared his teeth, looking like a hissing cat. "I guess it's to be expected… It's me you're trying to get into." Lee seng smiled and Son's jaw tightened.

"That damn… smirk..!" Son spoke with his jaw clenched. "I'm going to smack it off!" Son rushed straight for Lee Seng, who pointed the blade part of his sword downwards and looked directly at Son. The runes scattered into their place, drawing a large magical circle. By the time Son had realized what Lee Seng was doing, he couldn't stop.

"Burning Sun Prison." Lee Seng spoke the spell. The entire space lit up in bright light. Jail cell walls flew up around the runes as Son turned and ran. He rushed into the bars, burning himself. Lee Seng raised his right hand and yanked the air. The prison closed in, pulling Son closer to him. "Judgment Day."

'What do I do…?' Son frantically looked around. He slowly moved towards Lee SEng.

"Fuck it." Son turned and summoned his dark sword. He slashed the prison, watching the energy get absorbed by the jail cell walls.

"You may have everything I used, but you don't have the thing that made me strong — the Devouring Serum that courses through my blood. Even if you did break your way out of this closing prison, you'll just be reduced to nothing… because that's the difference between you and I." Lee Seng plunged his sword into Son's back. Son looked downwards and watched as the golden sword popped out his stomach. There was no blood, but a burning sensation that coursed through his body — his soul.
