Chapter 260 Difficulties in Practice
Li Wudi knew it very well.

From the perspective of Wenshi Taoist culture, Taoism requires two aspects of cultivation: Dharma practice and practice.

One, practice method: it is the Taoist inner alchemy gas extraction method.

This includes two sets of exercises.

First of all, it is the Baidiao Kung Fu method to open up the Chongmai.

Also called Xiong Jing Niao Shen.

Secondly, it is the method of meditating and gathering Qi to open up the two channels of Ren and Du and the belt channels (Ziwu Zhoutian and Maoyou Zhoutian).

Wen Shidao's method of meditating and collecting qi is based on kneeling.

It can be said that any non-kneeling-based exercises are not authentic pre-Qin Taoist exercises.

[-]. Practice: Through proper handling of daily behaviors, you can obtain a psychological effect of "peace of mind".

The specific method is called "doing one good deed every day".

This means doing one thoughtful and sensible thing every day.

rather than blind ignorance.

To deal with things, you need to be "peace of mind".

Peace of mind, peace of mind.

If you are calm, you will be calm.

When the Qi is calm, the spirit will be at peace.

If you are in peace, you will enter the Tao.

These two points are called combined cultivation of life and soul.

"Xing comes from the destiny, and destiny comes from heaven. The Tao begins with emotion, and emotion comes from nature."

Simply put, "sex" is spirit.

"Life" is the flesh.

Cultivating the law is cultivating one's life.

To put it bluntly, it means cultivating the body and gaining longevity! !
Practitioners, whether they are practicing martial arts or immortality, let alone whether they can live forever, they must at least achieve the effect of longevity.

Although we can't simply understand longevity as longevity, at least one hundred years old is worthy of all the tossing and training.

Therefore, before the Qin and Han Dynasties, the only criterion for judging whether a person was enlightened was how old the person had lived.

Never listen to how much truth you have in your mouth.

Many people may say that those who claimed to live hundreds of years in the past were lying to the emperor or princes.

However, in Li Wudi's view, this kind of thinking is very wrong.

Those emperors and princes are not fools.

They have mastered the resources of the whole country or one side.

If someone says he lived hundreds of years, there are many ways to check.

For example, if you ask "where do you live and who is your last name", and then go to your hometown to investigate, you will naturally know whether it is true or not.

Dare to lie, don't say you are alone, the hometown you mentioned can all be murdered!

Everyone in the whole hometown will not lie for this liar.

Even the ancients had a short lifespan, so if you can't even survive the age of 60, no one will believe you if you say you have the Tao.

Practice is to cultivate the spirit, to cultivate a pure heart.

The purity of the heart comes from not being entangled in thinking. After a matter is handled properly, it will naturally be left behind, and there will be no more worries and entanglements. It can also be called "a clear conscience".

The acquisition of a pure heart must come from handling everything around you and every aspect of your emotions.

Therefore, Wen Shidao pays attention to "the whole person is close to the immortal".

Only when a person is careful can he reach the spiritual state of an immortal.

There are parents who are old and have no support, and there are children who are lonely and lonely. You say that you can go to the monastery and practice with peace of mind. Is this still a human feeling?
Don't talk about people, even animals can't do it.

Therefore, Wen Shidao emphasizes "not practicing Taoism before forty".

Of course, the cultivation of the Tao mentioned here emphasizes the seclusion of the world and the cultivation of the monasticism, and does not include the cultivation of the Tao at home.

Wen Shidao paid great attention to the treatment of "emotion", which is the original Taoist thought in the pre-Qin period, and it is also the central idea of "Tao Te Ching".

Li Wudi, deeply agrees.

Therefore, theoretically speaking, his pure heart is the most sufficient during the period of retreat.

But after all, he is not good enough.

No matter how much you practice, you can't get the Tao.

Cultivation and Dharma practice, both of which can be called the cultivation of both life and soul.

Only by truly stimulating the natural potential of the human body can we finally achieve the unity of nature and man.

If you only pay attention to "practice and meditation", it is "dry Zen".

Taoists call it "sitting in meditation and solitary cultivation to turn the Qi into dryness".

This is cutting things short.

Of course, practicing in the spiritual world is not counted.

Therefore, when Li Wudi practiced in the secret room, he would not do useless work at all! !

As for how to do good deeds, Li Wudi can give good examples.

"Bu Hui Shi En", when cloth is cloth, when giving is giving.

Don't give alms if it's not appropriate.

One cannot do good for the sake of doing good.

Doing good in order to get good rewards, but not doing good for fear of being rewarded with evil, is not really doing good, it is "virtuous deceit".

Let’s talk about it in a big way, such as Laozi’s “Tao Te Ching”.

Whether it should be "benevolent" to the world, or should be "soldiers are weapons, and saints use them as a last resort", it depends on the specific situation.

Be kind and righteous.

When laying down millions of corpses and bleeding thousands of miles to launch weapons, the saint never relents.

This is called "Zhou Xing Properly", which is the "Way of Heaven".

All things flourish in spring and summer, and all kinds of things are killed in autumn and winter.

The sun is warm and moist in the south, and the bitter cold and frost in the north.

This tree will never die for a thousand years, but the flowers will appear evil when they appear.

The "goodness" that varies from time to place, from person to situation, is "proper".

Blind, unprincipled "goodness" is stupid goodness.

In Li Wudi's view, no matter how humble your status is, as long as you practice Taoism, you will be able to look at the whole nature with a holy heart.

Just look at the Tao Te Ching.

Never say that if this matter is done well, it will bring you any benefits, and if this matter is not done well, it will bring you any harm.

It's about how bad things will be done to other people and the whole world if we don't do it well.

If this matter is done well, it will be good for others or the world.

The starting point and focus of looking at and dealing with problems is not one's own personal gains or losses, but the impact on others.

Li Wudi has read such a saying: "Cultivating the law is easy, but practicing it is difficult."

This sentence means that it is easy to cultivate mana, but it is too difficult to cultivate "virtue".

Of course, he does not agree with this statement.

Because human beings are not a race born with magic power after all.

It is also extremely difficult to cultivate mana.

He also heard the example of Monkey King in Journey to the West.

It is said that he went from having no magic power to being extremely powerful, and it only took a few days.

But if you want to become a Buddha in the end, you have to go through all kinds of difficulties and dangers to experience the world and learn how to deal with it in the most appropriate way.

Ninety-nine 81 disasters are 81 types of incidents.

The demons that are eliminated are also the inner demons that arise from facing everything.

We can see that at the beginning of the story of Journey to the West, Sun Wukong was very brave and ruthless at every turn, but later he became more and more obedient, and he understood the strategies and skills of dealing with things.

This is practice! !

……

……

Li Wudi felt extremely ridiculous about this example.

Because Sun Wukong didn't learn magic in a few days.He is so talented, and he also studied with Patriarch Bodhi for many years before he became a teacher.

So, this is already obvious.

This example, fundamentally, has logical problems! !
