Chapter 29 Three Dogs
Chapter 29 The Three-Headed Dog
This is Filch speaking to Mrs. Norris.
The few little wizards hiding in the prize showroom are going to be terrified.
Rigg waved his wand at the other four, telling them to follow him.
Several people walked quietly towards the door away from Filch's voice.
Neville's robes had just passed around the corner of the showroom when they heard Filch enter the prize room.
"They're somewhere in here," Rigg heard Filch mutter.
"Probably in hiding."
Mrs. Norris let out a hoarse cat meow, Harry had never heard a cat meow so badly.
"This way!" Rieger said to everyone in an inaudible voice.
The five men tiptoed along a corridor lined with armor,
In order not to make a sound, they walked very slowly.
Gradually Filch could be heard getting closer to them.
Rigg squeezed his wand nervously.
If it doesn't work, I can only give Filch a sneak peek.
But I don't know if the teachers can check who cast the magic, Rieg thought with some concern.
Suddenly, the strange and familiar cry of the trio resounded.
Mrs. Norris was also suddenly quiet.
Not sure what happened, but Filch's footsteps faded away.
The five people waited quietly for a while, but no one moved.
The corridor is quiet, only the sound of the wind passing through.
Rigg carefully lit his wand.
Fluorescent flashes, his newfound charm.
It seems to work well.
Rigg carefully wrapped his hands around the top of the wand so that only a few strands of light came through.
Just to illuminate the five people who are standing together again.
"I think we've gotten rid of Filch," said Harry in a broken voice.
He leaned against the cold wall, wiping the sweat from his brow.
Neville and Ron were already sitting on the ground.
"I told you." Hermione's usual domineering tone returned.
"We've got to get back to the Gryffindor common room," said Ron, "the sooner the better."
He really didn't want to play cat and cat with Filch anymore.
"Malfoy lied to us," Rigg said to Harry.
This upset Rigg, too, and he really helped Harry plan the evening.
Efforts are now in vain.
"Filch knows that someone is going to the prize showroom, and he is a little Slytherin wizard. It must be Malfoy who broke the news to him." Rieger analyzed in a low voice,
Harry nodded silently, thinking so too.
To be honest, he was glad he didn't have to embarrass himself in front of Hermione and Neville.
"Let's go." Rigg suggested.
Since Malfoy didn't really come to the duel, they had to go back quickly.
No one objected, and the five began to move against the wall again.
It was really dark in the corridor.
Rigg didn't dare to keep lighting his wand for fear of being seen by Filch from any corner.
They had barely gone ten steps when they heard the rattle of a door handle.
With a bang, something jumped out of a classroom in front of them.
It's Peeves.
Neville, who was already trembling with fear from the dark corridor and Filch who didn't know when to appear, couldn't help but let out a sharp scream and ran away.
But darkness and fear affected his vision.
Neville panicked and bumped his head against the armor in the corridor, knocking him dizzy.
It also caused the armor in the entire corridor to fall one after another like dominoes.
The clang of armor falling echoed throughout the castle.
Rieger closed his eyes in pain, it was over.
Sure enough, from downstairs, there was a wonderfully loud and continuous meowing of cats.
And the sound of Filch thumping up the stairs.
"Run!" Rigg yelled, stepping past Neville.
The five of them ran at full speed down the corridor, and no one looked back to see if Filch was following.
Because the wonderful meowing sound was approaching them all the time.
Peeves followed behind them, neither far nor near.
Peeves' laughter was a guide to Filch.
They ran around doorposts, down corridor after corridor, up and down stairs.
In the end, even Hermione, who had deliberately recited the map of Hogwarts castle, couldn't recognize where they went.
Rieger ran at the front, dragging Hermione who was already exhausted.
Hermione's long curly hair was all loose now, and the rubber band fell out of nowhere.
The air around Rigg was filled with the scent of her shampoo and maybe body wash.
Harry, Ron, and Neville followed behind Rigg, wheezing.
They ducked past Peeves as soon as they lowered their heads, and fled desperately.
Fleeing all the way to the end of the hallway, banged hard on a door.
Unfortunately, the door was locked.
"It's over!" Ron whimpered.
Neville was weeping again, sobbing softly.
Rigg drew his wand quickly, but Hermione was faster than him.
They heard footsteps, and Filch was limping along.
The wonderful meowing had become hoarse, and Filch angrily told her to shut up.
But the wonder is still calling.
"Oh, come here," said Hermione roughly.
She knocked on the lock and said in a low voice, "Alahoo is open!"
The lock clicked and the door swung open.
Rigg woke up as if from a dream.
Hey!
He knew this scene!
Rigg didn't really want to go in.
But Hermione, who thought Rigg was stunned, grabbed the door.
Five people rushed in and quickly closed the door.
Rieg looked at the scene in front of him, thinking much faster than usual.
Merlin's manicure.
Harry didn't turn his head at all, and put his ear directly on the door, listening carefully.
They heard Peeves sprinting away, Filch cursing in exasperation.
Mrs. Norris was yelling to reassure Filch.
Miraculously stopped barking now, and she suddenly disappeared again.
"He thought the door was locked," Harry whispered.
"I think we'll be all right. Stop tugging at my sleeve, Neville!"
Neville kept tugging at the sleeves of Harry's robes.
"what's wrong?"
Harry turned around.
I saw it, I saw it clearly.
For a moment, he believed that he must have walked into a nightmare.
A nightmare worse than Filch's.
They weren't in the same room as Harry thought they were, they were in a corridor.
It was the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor that the principal said at the opening ceremony.
Now they know why it's off limits.
They were facing the eyes of a monstrously large dog so large that it filled all the space from the ceiling to the floor.
It has three heads, three pairs of vicious eyes that roll around, and three noses.
Now the three gaping mouths are drooling.
The drool was like a sticky rope, hanging from the yellowed dog teeth.
It stood there motionless, with six eyes fixed on them.
When such a huge three-headed dog started to let out a deafening roar, several little wizards all stood there dumbfounded.
Temporary loss of ability to think.
The big dog finally reacted, and it rushed over.
