Chapter 97 coma
Inside the Avengers Building.

Kate was lying on the hospital bed, her limbs were firmly bound.

"What's going on?" The captain looked at the pile of testing instruments connected to her, "Have you found any problems?"

"No." Banner pushed his glasses, and he held the tablet computer that recorded the data. "No trace of magic or mind control was found."

"Brainwashing?" the captain asked, after all Hydra is probably the most authoritative in the entire world in this regard.

"It's not like." On the other side, Tony, who hurried back to New York from his vacation in California, answered while adjusting the instrument, "Brainwashing is a long-term process, and it cannot be completed in an instant."

"What's going on?" the captain wondered, "There must be a reason, right?"

"Hmm..." Tony pondered, and then he and Banner looked at each other.

"I'll go find someone." Tony said, turning and walking out of the ward.

The atmosphere in the ward was somewhat dignified.

"We..." Banner hesitated, "How should I say it?"

The captain sat on the chair and bowed his head in silence.

"This is too cruel for newcomers." Banner continued.

"Some things have to be faced." The captain sighed, and he looked at the unconscious Kate, "I hope she can survive..."

……

Tony landed on the top floor of the Pasteur Building in his armor.

He walked into the laboratory with ease, nodded to the two young men, and walked straight to Reed.

"What's the matter?" Reid looked up.

"I need you to confirm one thing for me." Tony said, "Help me judge the condition of a patient."

"Seriously?" Reed asked.

"Very serious."

"Okay." Reed stood up, then glanced at Colt who was studying the data with Valeria, "I'll bring a student, is it okay?"

"Up to you." Tony didn't care.

……

Reed's plane lands on the tarmac of the Avengers Tower.

This was the first time Colt came to the Avengers Building. Although he was dragged here by Reed for some unknown reason, this did not prevent him from looking at the building with great interest.

However, Tony was obviously not interested in showing the guests around the building, so he led the two of them directly to the ward.

Soon, Kate, who was covered with equipment, appeared in front of the two of them lying on the hospital bed.

Captain and Banner nodded to the two.

"What's going on?" Reed stretched his body and began to check the readings on each instrument one by one.

"There was no serious physical trauma, and no traces of energy that disturbed the spirit." Reed analyzed.

Colt took the tablet from Banner's hand, and read: "I completely lost my mind, suspected of being controlled by the mind, leading to..."

He was stunned.

"What's the matter?" Reed stretched his head over, and then he was also stunned, "Causing the death of 'Black Widow'?"

"Natasha is dead?" Reid was surprised. The best spy in the world died like this?

"Falled to the bottom of the cliff." The captain's eyes wandered, "SHIELD is still searching for dead bodies on the island."

"That is to say, the death has not been confirmed yet?" Colt asked.

"Yes." The captain replied, "But judging from the current search and rescue, the hope of survival..."

Reed patted the captain: "Sorry."

The captain was only in a daze for a moment, and he quickly recovered his previous firmness: "We must find out what Zola did, and he must pay the price for it."

"Do you need any equipment?" Tony walked to Reed and began to assist in the inspection.

Although he had already done many tests, Tony didn't interrupt Reed to do it again. After all, in some respects, he had to admit that Reed was better.

"Did we miss something?" Banner watched as Reid finished the test and returned to his normal human form.

"No." Reed replied, "Your tests are all correct and reasonable."

"Then what exactly caused Kate's madness?" The captain was puzzled, "It wasn't drugs, it wasn't magic, and it wasn't mind control..."

Reed thought for a while and gave his own answer: "Hypnosis."

"Hypnosis?" Tony was stunned for a moment, and then suddenly realized, "This is indeed my omission."

"Although this is not necessarily the only answer." Reid stroked the beard on his chin, "but considering that you said that she suddenly went crazy while inspecting Hydra's base..."

"Faust?" Banner answered.

Reed nodded: "I can only think of this reason."

"I remember you can do that too, right?" Tony looked at Reed and said, "Can Kate get back to normal first?"

"I'll try." Reed nodded, "Although I'm not as proficient as Faust in this field, I should still be able to do it just to remove the hypnosis."

Reed glanced at the sedative injection time displayed on the instrument: "You go out first, I need a quiet environment to treat patients."

Tony and the others expressed their understanding, then put down the instrument in their hands, turned and left.

"Colt." Reed looked at Colt who was also about to leave and shouted, "Have you read all the information I gave you before?"

"I've read it." Colt replied honestly, that document really helped him a lot when he was fighting against the Purple Man.

"Very well," said Reed, "stay and help me."

……

Inside a secret prison somewhere in S.H.I.E.L.D.

"What is your plan?" Clint stood outside the cell, clinging to the energy field and glaring at Zola on the opposite side.

"Hahaha." Zora's face was on the screen on the robot's chest, and he laughed without hesitation, "So, what happened? Let the famous 'Hawkeye' come here to question me?"

"I don't have time to play with you." Clint roared, "Who is your accomplice! What is your plan!"

Zola looked at Fury who was standing next to Clint mockingly: "This is your plan? You found a vicious-looking 'Avenger' to scare me?"

"Trust me, you don't want to face this man." Fury closed his remaining eyes and sighed.

"In this way, the plan seems to be very successful?" Zola raised the corner of her mouth, "It seems that something that doesn't make you happy happened?"

Clint's eyes grew even more angry.

He turned to look at Fury.

"Give me five minutes."

Fury glanced at Zora, then at Clint.

He turned around and touched the earphones.

"5 minutes of visiting time."

Then quickly turned around and walked out of the prison.

"Crack."

The room lights in Zora's cell went out.

Clint walks through the energy field and into the room.

Looking at Zola's mechanical body in front of him, he slowly pulled out a special arrow from the quiver behind him and stuck it on the table.

"Actually, I don't want to do this." Clint's expression was a bit ferocious, he paused, and continued, "But, she is my best friend."

After speaking, he pressed a switch on the arrow.

A burst of special electromagnetic waves is released from the arrow.

"Ah!" Zola screamed while hugging the screen on her chest. He knelt down on the ground, and the face on the screen began to flicker and shake with the release of electromagnetic waves.

"We still have 4 minutes and 12 seconds." Clint glanced at the time, "We can take our time."
